The Meridionali Ro.37 Lince (Italian: "Lynx") was a small two-seater reconnaissance biplane, designed and built by the IMAM company in Italy in 1934. It was armed with two 7.7 mm (0.303 in) fixed forward firing Breda-SAFAT machine guns and one 7.7 mm (0.303 in) flexibly mounted machine gun in the rear cockpit; a small bombload of around 180kg could be carried under the wings for ground attack missions.

Powered by a Piaggio Stella P.IX R.C.40 9-cylinder air-cooled radial piston engine with 561 hp of power, it had a maximum speed of 330km/h and a range of 1120km which was comparable to most biplane light bombers in service with European Countries around that time.

Operationally it was unreliable and since it lacked armor, it became easy kill for the rapidly improving Allied air power over the Mediterranean during the Second World War. Still, it was generally liked by it´s crews and some examples were sold to foreign nations. Some (possibly as many as 58) were sent to the Nationalist Forces fighting during the Spanish Civil War.

possibly bisporigera or albocreata since it's kind of wavy in its old age. Either way I'm leaving it be. A younger one was fruiting nearby. Deadly, deadly. OM 90mm at f8 ro so.

RO - Rožaje

Another car from MNE, again from Rožaje. And pretty sure " long-distance registered", so that the vehicle was probably never in MNE. That already diminishes the joy a little. I would really be happy to see another code again!

The two saints are definitely Nestor and Demetrius - that much I could read on the wall. But the writing of their names puzzles me.

Doesn't seem church Slavonic or old Romanian cyrillic or any version of the Greek alphabet that I know of.

In 1585, this monastery in Bucharest was dedicated to Xeropotamou Monastery on Mount Athos by Wallachian prince Mihnea Turcitul, and remained so until 1864.

So the language is most likely what it seems - Greek: Agios Nestor and Agios Dimitrios.

But why is the first letter in the word for Saint "O" instead of "A"?

There are a few ligatures:

"N" with "E" in "Nestor";

"O" and "C" merged into something looking a little like "Q" in "Agios" and "Dimitrios";

Greek (and Slavonic) letter for G ("Г") in "Agios" seems ligated with some other letter that I can't identify in front of it.

In "Dimitrios", "τ" and "ρ" might be ligated. Also, in Dimitrios, the first "i" is written with a character identical to the Latin one, while the second "i" is written with the cyrillic "и", which is a hint the letters might be Romanian cyrillic which used both. But the language is not Romanian and there are glyphs not used in this script, as far as I know.

Also, either cyrillic "С" or Greek lunate sigma is used for latin "s".
