About the photograph.
This is Ro.
She is a performer taking part on stage during the outdoor live music festival.
Ro is a deaf person, but is able to hear by means of cochlear implant, and had taken drama lessons during her childhood. She is capable of performing a song in British Sign Language (BSL).
As the GlastonBeoley Music Festival is one of the few UK festivals that provides BSL interpreters for deaf people during some of the key performances, Ro was taking part in the event for the deaf audience.
The photos were shot in colour with a 50mm lens while close up to the stage. While they were in Adobe Lightroom, they were converted into black and white, then cropped in Adobe Photoshop.

Ro has to be one of my favorite builds so far. I absolutely love the color usage and the contrast with the bits of orange on the torso. I was going for anatomical accuracy for the most part, with a few liberties taken.

Shortly after crossing into Virginia over Long Bridge, a southbound CSX manifest diverges onto main one at RO, a somewhat common practice that's especially utilized during the morning and afternoon VRE rush.

I disturbed this roe deer during its grass grazing activity. It just popped up twenty meters from me while I was walking in these one meter high grasses.
Not too much stressed by my presence, it stopped a few meters later to have a look at the mean guy who brought such nuisance ... then fled in light jumps to the nearby forest
The same happened a couple of hours later in the same type of high grass plain, with another (?) roe deer. Then just a few minutes later, with a fox that jumped almost at my feet, and ran straight away into the reeds.
Look like these high grasses are in fact allowing (silent) human to get much closer to wild animals than a landscape with a clearer view. The thing is, there you definitely cannot use your eyes for searching .. except for being sure you don't fall in a river.
