Co-developed with its allies, ZEUS fields the MEADS system under the German acronym TLVS: Taktisches Luftverteidigungssystem.
The components are nearly identical to those found in the US, with some minor country-specific alterations, like a larger TOC module. The biggest difference is the addition of a launch platform for the IRIS-T SL short to medium Range Intercept Missile, the ground-launched radar-guided version of the air-to-air IRIS-T missile found on European jets. Just like the system's other components, the integration via the plug&fight design is seamless.

Evan did the lion share of the work here, designing all the radar and fire control components for the system, so big shoutout to him. I did design the original MEADS launch tubes and added the generator module and medium range intercept vehicle.
Still had to go through each component to make it fit the camo scheme.

The MK (and later MJ) was a 4x4 version of the TK which entered army service in 1970. replacing the Bedford RL. Over 50,000 were built. The MK became the MJ after 1981 with a change of engine. By 2014 all of this marque had been retired.isposed of, replaced by the RMMV HX60.
NATO's Medium Extended Air Defense System (or MEADS for short) is built up of four primary building blocks, the first of which serves the mmost glamorous function--actually engaging the enemy. The Transporter Erector Launcher (TEL) utilizes the MIM-104F PAC-3 MSE missile, carried in modular eight-pack cannisters. An evolution of the venerable PATRIOT missile, the MSE increases the system's range and lethality over the baseline PAC-2 & PAC-3 variants of the PATRIOT misile that have been in service since 1990. This interceptor's capability gives NATO's MEADS batteries game against both aircraft and ballistic missile targets.
The TEL vehicle itself is also one of the key features of MEADS' "Plug-and-Fight" design. Since most of the electronics and combat systems reside on the missile pack itself, it can be loaded on almost any vehicle which is equipped with a standardized Load Handling System (LHS). In US Army service, MEADS TELs are almost always an M1120A4 HEMTT LHS. This can vary in other NATO member nations, such as the German or Dutch contingents in ZEUS, which utilize heavy-duty RMMV HX trucks.

Shoutout to Corvin for designing the missile pack component. A multinational system in real life as well as in Lego!

LH44AN MAN HX 4 X4 British Army. Seen at Prestwick Air Show. All models can climb a 60% gradient, traverse a 40% sideslope, have an approach angle of 40 degrees, and ford 750 mm of water without preparation, this increasing to 1.5 m with preparation. With the exception of the modular military cab, the location of the cooling pack and a small number of military specific ancillary items and modifications, for cost efficiency reasons RMMV has strived for maximum commonality with the TG commercial product

A Bedford for the Highlands…
The Bedford TK was a truck manufactured by Bedford vehicles, which although based in Luton, England was American owned, being the UK commercial vehicle arm of General Motors. Bedford can trace its history back back to the 1920s, when GM began assembly of Chevrolet lorries in the UK. Initially these were imported from Canada but following the purchase of Vauxhall Motors by GM in 1925, GM began full assembly of lorries (and later buses) under the name Chevrolet Bedford, after where they were built. The Chevrolet name was later dropped in 1931, where the company adopted the Bedford name with a variation of the griffin logo, which it shared with Vauxhall. Bedford grew and grew to become one of the UK’s major lorry manufacturers. It also was a major player in coaches.
Launched in 1960 to replace the Bedford S type, the TK was scheduled to be replaced by the Bedford TL in 1981, but manufacturing of the TK continued as a cheaper alternative. A military 4x4 version, the Bedford MK (later MJ), was also produced. After Bedford's Dunstable factory was sold in 1987 to AWD, the TK restarted production for military only use until 1992 when AWD was placed in receivership.
The TK range replaced the Bedford S type in 1960, and served as the basis for a variety of derivatives, including fire engines, military, horse carriers, tippers, flatbed trucks, and other specialist utilities. A General Post Office (later British Telecom) version used for installing telegraph poles was known as the Pole King.
Available with inline four or inline six cylinder petrol and diesel engines from Bedford, Leyland and Perkins, the TK was the quintessential light truck in the United Kingdom through most of the 1960s and 1970s, competing with the similar Ford D series. It was available in rigid form, and also as a light tractor unit normally using the Scammell coupling form of semi-trailer attachment.
In 1981, Bedford introduced turbocharging to the "Red Series" 3.6-litre and 5.4-litre diesel engines, now producing 72 bhp and 102 bhp respectively
TKs were assembled for many years by General Motors New Zealand (GMNZ) at its Petone truck plant. The model was very popular and competed with the like of the also locally assembled Ford D series. It was succeeded by the TM series and GMNZ later switched source to launch a range of Bedford-by-Isuzu models assembled locally from kits shipped from Japan. Over 500,000 were produced. They were also assembled by Holden in Australia.
The Bedford MK/MJ was a 4x4 variant of the TK used in large numbers by the British Armed Forces and others. The Bedford MK was introduced in 1970 to replace the Bedford RL. It was very successful with over 50,000 produced. The MK/MJ was produced in many variants. From April 1981, Bedford changed the designation of the MK to MJ as the K multi-fuel engine was superseded by the J diesel engine. It was confirmed in March 2014 that, with the exception of a handful of light recovery vehicles, all British Army Bedford MK/MJ trucks had been disposed of, replaced by RMMV HX60 4x4 trucks.
After Bedford's Dunstable factory was sold in 1987 to AWD, the MK restarted production for military only use until 1992 when AWD was placed in receivership.
This charming short-wheelbase TK is B728DBV, a very late model TK and which shows how little the design changed. It’s been restored in the traditional livery of MacBraynes. MacBraynes was the main carrier for freight and passengers in the Hebrides, with a co-ordinated network of shipping, road haulage and bus operations. The company was state owned and used a network of lorries and indeed buses to carry the freight - including the mail - to many remote Scottish communities. Indeed bye company traded under the name of ‘MacBraynes for the Highlands’. It’s distinctive lorries and buses - the lorries were predominantly red but the buses were a very pleasant red, cream and duck egg green colour.
The buses were merged into the Scottish Bus Groups operations between 1970 - 1972 and the road haulage division became MacBrayne Haulage Ltd. which was privatised and absorbed by Kilcionan Transport in 1985. However the ferries continue to this day under the Caledonian MacBrayne name.
