The forecast promised a stormy wind to the Gulf of Finland. When I arrived on the coast the wind was already strong and sun was glistening from the cap of in the clouds. After while the wind picked up briskly and the cloud cover thickened. The storm (Päiviö) was rising. Taken in Lauttasaari, Helsinki at the end of June (DSC03006-2).

The moon was really bright so I thought I would have a play with my EF 50mm f/1.2 L USM in my garden.
Obviously at f/1.2 the moon detail was blown away but at ISO 100 I thought the the weather vane detail impressive.

Full moon rising on May 26 2021 during sunset at Woy Woy, NSW, Australia. This night is a rare event with a Super Moon, a Blood Moon, also known as the Flower Moon and the Lunar Eclipse.
The maat in Lisbon at sunrise. This is an amazing architecture in warm sunlight. The Ponte de Abril 25 can be seen in the background.
Seen from Long Lane. One of the older parts of London. The pub used to be frequented by John Betjeman when he lived nearby.
To the right is Cloth Court, where John Betjeman lived; there is a blue plaque denoting his residence.
The building you can see at the end of the alley is St Bartholomew's Church in Cloth Fair. Cloth Fair was where, in medieval times merchants used to gather to buy and sell material during the Bartholomew fair.
