Smoke from western wildfires makes the sunrise colorful.

This falls into the how-many-apps-can-I-use-on-one-photo category. Started with a photo of droplets on a Crocosmia petal than used a couple of my textures, Procreate, Distressed FX Plus, iColorama, PaintCan, Pastello, PicLight, LensFlare Studio and Pixelmator Pro. Kind of weird but that is the kind of mood I'm in today.

An early start around the lakes at Harleston. The mist was low and the sun fought with it. In the end the sun won, here are the early rounds.

This series of landscape photographs is inspired by the gloomy prospect of rising sea levels due to the ongoing global warming. When I look at these images, I find it easier to imagine a submerged world flooded by the rising sea.

I don't know about you, but this notion gives me the creeps.

These grasses normally stand high on the banks of the River Don, but are now submerged beneath the flood waters under which should be open fields.

This was the shot I was waiting for. The moment when the sun appears just above the horizon and bathes the landscape in its gentle warmth. The rocks are covered with orange lichen and they seem to glow a deep rusty colour in the feint light.

Not a cloud to be seen as the sun rose behind the steelworks so decided on a monochrome effect.

I'm pretty sure the sky's colour is a result of the eruption of Hunga Tonga–Hunga Ha‘apai in Tonga... ash circulating high in the atmosphere. Glowing colours linger long after sunset and before sunrise.
