Hey! We no longer get exif. data on our shots when you click on the camera used!! I use this a lot when I view your shots, it helps me learn about settings etc!!!
This was F8, 15000mm lens and ISO 400.
Another favorite peak. For those of you who follow my stream you know that mountains are my primary image fixation. Nature's Cathedral's to me. Plus the ecosystems they create are so full of water features, animals and incredible beauty that it is always hard to leave.
Lower Two Medicine lake in view.
"Rising Wolf Mountain (9,513 feet (2,900 m)) is located in the Lewis Range, Glacier National Park. The peak is in the southeastern section of the park and rises dramatically above the Two Medicine region and more than 4,450 ft (1,360 m) above Two Medicine Lake immediately to the south. This massive mountains base circumference is 20 miles!
Rising Wolf Mountain was named after Hugh Monroe, a fur trader who lived with the Pikunis and gave him the name Rising Wolf. After his death, his close friend and author James Willard Schultz named the peak after Monroe."

Another feature that stands out with this peak is the amazing rich red colors throughout.

Have a wonderful Sunday!
Thames River is rising after all the rain that occured this past week. In this photo the water is seen on this side of the phragmites growing on the riverbank. no more debris riding the current.
Taken same day as www.flickr.com/photos/138912516@N03/24384412161/in/dateta... -- I was originally going to throw this one away but decided it was worth keeping when deleting old photos today. It shows very clearly why the snow could become so golden in the sunset that day.
Shenandoah River flood, what is around the corner? We made it through! Wishing everyone a lovely week!!
I took this last week on Rossbeigh on the way back from shooting the Sunbeam wreck. The tide was rising fast, as was the moon. I set the camera up on the tripod and framed the shot. By the time the shot was ready the water was already at my feet so I instinctively jumped to drier area leaving the camera.
After a few minutes and bracketed shots the water was quickly rising up the leg of the tripod. Luckily it was well planted in the sand or else it would have been washed away!

Rising Japanese sun
This mural, entitled ‘Detour to the Japanese Sector’ was painted by East German artist Thomas Klingenstein. It depicts his desire to explore and live in Asia, saying, “as a child, I dreamed of living in Asia, specifically Japan. I wanted to find out more about that culture than was allowed in Communist East Germany because at the time Japan, like the US, was considered an imperialist power.”
I went to an amazing exhibition today...
Featuring 30 First Peoples artists and collectives, this sprawling exhibition serves as the physical and spiritual centre of Rising 2023, immersing visitors in Ancestral knowledge systems.
Many thanks for your visits, kind comments and faves, very much appreciated.
A capture at the hilltop of the Kulim Hitech, Malaysia. A start with the early morning hike up the zenith is rewarded with a splendid sunrise breaking over the hill range beyond.

This mural is at the other end of the alley which has the rear view mirror. From my perspective this looks like either evil rising or a swimmer in a 500m Butterfly, swimming for the UK.

The reflection on the spoon bears a resemblance to the Japan Rising Sun flag.
Thank you everyone for your visits, faves, and kind comments
The Snow Moon is rising up through the trees and sure to bring in crippling snow falls. Will be snowed in for weeks at a time. So stock up with all the essentials- camera batteries, memory cards, camera filters, lens cleaning cloths to get the snow off of your lens and probably a little food would not hurt either :)
You know its coming- CCR

'The Rising Tide' was designed by internationally-renowned underwater sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, and was in place between 02.09.15 and 3.09.15. The four 3-metre tall working horses were concealed and revealed by the tide each day.
They were commissioned as part of Totally Thames, a new, month-long celebration of the river and its place in London’s history. Fully amphibious, they were positioned to be submerged at high tide, then gradually revealed as the tide goes out – to be slowly swallowed once more as it comes back in.
