Abbotts soon found a more spacious yard in a former quarry at Ripley as the decker fleet expanded. Many vehicles were acquired from Taylors of Morley.. GNG716N was one, shown here departing in the afternoon run out, a far cry from its Eastern Counties days !
1963 Surrey registered s.w.b AEC Marshal tipper from the fleet of William.R Winton from Ripley Surrey. It has a single piece windscreen Park Royal cab and slightly unusual high-sided dropside tipper body.

Had an afternoon out to Ripley Castle with Sal. A very good wildlife day, we saw deer, two herons, a goldcrest and lots of flowering snowdrops. Oh and a couple of daffodils for good measure.
My Ellen Ripley's base doll is Curly Blue Babe (translucent.) I've given her a reroot of soft Gotland lamb locks, her Nostromo flight suit AND UNDERWEAR, three pairs of my hand painted eye chips, and custom pull charms. She'll travel in her own space suit carrying case, snuggled in with Jones the cat, her own flame thrower, and unfortunately....a face hugger (because how else would we get to Aliens 2...)
