Procida is the smallest island of the Gulf of Naples; it is rich in attractions and archaeology. From the ground floor of Napoli Centro train station, you can take the metro to station Pozzuoli then get off and take the ferry at the port of Pozzuoli. The architecture of Procida has a Greek origin. In fact, the history of Procida is concentrated first of all on the medieval village “Terra Murata” and on “Corricella”, the fishing settlement. The island has served as the set for numerous films, such as The “Postman”, and some scenes in “The Talented Mr. Ripley” were shot on Corricella. The landmarks of Procida reflect typical Mediterranean pastel colours. Procida offers simply cooking and at least 10 excellent restaurants with plain cooking based on fresh fish. This simple style never fails, thanks to the 20 local fishing boats. The specialties of the cooking are: stewed rabbit (which goes back to the Borbonen who came on Procida to hunt the wild rabbit) and spaghetti with sea-urchin. Procida has 6 beaches with crystal-clear waters. Spent some relaxing days on this wonderful island. Experience the real Italy, lovely people, great views, great sand and great food.
The best way to get to procida is travelling to Pozzuoli first ,beautiful as well as other districts of Naples, by train where you will find marina with ferries. Before reaching the Island, you'll enjoy wonderful views of Faro Capo Miseno and its lighthouse. From the lighthouse you have Incredible views of Capri, Procida, Ischia, Pocinda, Baia, Pozzouli, Sorrento, Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius. Bout a 20 minute hike to the top. Met de veerboot naar Procida passeren het schierieland Miseno met de prachtige vuurtoren. Capo Miseno kijkt uit over de mosselbanken bij het naderen van Porto Miseno. Ripley Castle is a Grade I listed 14th-century country house in Ripley, North Yorkshire, England, 3 miles north of Harrogate. The house is built of coursed squared gritstone and ashlar with grey slate and stone slate roofs. The castle has been the seat of the Ingilby baronets since 1309.
Sir Thomas Ingleby (c1290-1352) married the heiress Edeline Thwenge in 1308/9 and acquired the Ripley Castle estate with its mediaeval manor house as her dowry
Sir William Ingleby (1546–1618) hosted James VI of Scotland when the king was en route to his coronation as James I of England in 1603.

digital - The is the first pet I've had in over 20 years. I'm glad I decided to adopt Ripley. She's very sweet and lovable.....when she's not in crazy kitten mode.
I have a new appreciation for pet portrait photographers. Had to use a remote shutter release and get her to watch my hand without moving to expose properly. Not a perfect shot, but she did great for her first proper model shoot. :)
Ripley has not had nearly as many photos since Boo arrived, but today is all about her - she is my big squeeze (I give lots of hugs) and Boo is my little squeeze. This is Ripley out at sunrise this morning - the light was awesome and so was her expression. Such an amazing friend to have. <3
Georgia Central L781 is lit by the only appearance of the sun on this day as it climbs the grade north of Ripley as it heads north for Macon. With the line in need of higher horsepower engines that can traverse the entire line, G&W decided to lease, & have since bought, some former Norfolk Southern B32-8's from GE, marking the return of GE locomotives to the GC since the high hood U23B's were retired in 2015. 1-22-21
In keeping with my Truck on Thursday routine - this was taken in Kentucky last fall. It seemed to be defending the crusty old barn from the attacking weeds. Happy Truck Thursday!
Saturday we were in Amsterdam. Here we visited Ripley's Believe It or Not. Amazing!!!

Georgia Central L781 heads south for East Dublin north of Ripley. With the line in need of higher horsepower engines that can traverse the entire line, G&W decided to lease some & now own some former Norfolk Southern B32-8's from GE, marking the return of GE locomotives to the GC since the high hood U23B's were retired in 2015. 1-22-21
Beautiful fall day, and after finishing all of my weekend chores I finally got the camera out. It's been far too long since I've had a chance to use it. I was blessed with an opportunity to catch this shot of my beautiful Vizsla, Ripley.
