I frogged the Staghorn aran, which was all but done. (I needed to re-block and finish the collar.)
It was just not right for me in a few ways. And it's been long enough that it wasn't as painful as it sounds.
Well, it was a pain in the arse to undo all the seaming. Particularly because I did such a good job of the seaming, and also weaving in all my ends. (A reason to not weave in ends until you're sure the sweater is a keeper?)
I still have plenty for a different sweater. I'm thinking about Starsky Jr, in the largest size, which is a better match for me than the original Starsky in terms of styling (buttons instead of belt) and gauge for Cascade 220.

Our new dog Zetta got into my penguin collection and destroyed my penguin Chub Chub. But it's ok, Christina is going to redo him and make him a red penguin. So he'll be a Crimson Chub Chub.
A rip tide produces the explosion of water seen here. The burst moved slowly along the shoreline for several minutes.
One of my new boys- 2 Rainbow crabs. Scuderia has 2 legs missing and is a little smaller, the legs will grow back when he sheds. Scudetto is a slightly bigger crab. They are both left handed- just like me! *The lid of the tank I purchased was so full of fumes it killed them both within a week of purchase*
I was again fortunate enough to have my photo as the cover of another record. Super stoked.

This RIP series was taken at the Longmire Museam in the Mount Rainier National Park, in Washington state.
These were clearly very old models.. stuffed animals.. taxidermied animals. In a newer building animal sculptures took their place and seemed more realistic somehow. I felt sad seeing these animals on display. Although I understand that this was thought the best way to teach about these animals without disturbing them in the wild, it feels disgusting to me, and I can't help but feel that they will never be at rest. I hope that someday, what remains of them will be returned to the earth, where they belong.
I should also mention... these photos were taken in fairly low light, with no tripod, a steady crowd to avoid, and my three year old threatening to cause a scene. I had to click fast and furiously. The quality of the photos may reflect this. I don't like posting photos that are technically lacking in what I want them to be but... I loved this idea so much that I compromised.
I hope to continue this series in the future.
