A hoop that has seen plenty of action in West Virgina

She was really cool, and a great model ;)

one of the best portraits I have seen of the man or men as Moebius and Giraud.

Levi was my sister-in-law's dog. I have a few photos of this gentle giant in my photostream. He was put to sleep last week due to a turnor found on his spine which basically paralyzed him. He was only 4 years old. He was a dopey sweet heart of a dog.

My favorite story of him was how my sis-in-law had some construction being done and she liked to make sure Levi wouldn't bother the workers. One day she can't find him and thinks he might have run off asked a worker eating lunch in his car.

"Oh, Levi is right here. " She looks over next to him and there is Levi all 125 pounds of him sitting on the guys car seat looking dopey and chewing on something. What is he eating she asks the worker? "Oh my wife made him a sandwich" That was Levi making friends where ever food was to be found or his favorite ball to be thrown so he could retrieve it over and over and over again.

I managed to ride a hole straight through the seat of my bib cycling shorts and the padding. This, of course, made stopping in the local convenience stores a very exciting event.

While thinking things over, I realized that these shorts have accumulated well over 2500 miles in the past year or so.

RIP, bib shorts.

Leo and I completed a 2.5 day, 200 mile cycling adventure from Millersville, PA to Brooklyn, NY.

In loving memory of my Grandpa

With several out-of-town friends in the area for the day, they were asking me for spots that we could go check out after lunch. Since we were not too far away, I suggested that we check out what's left of Tilford Yard and the progress being made on the tear down. They were quite amazed at the sight of a classification yard in the process of being ripped up, while I, a big NC&St.L fan, couldn't help but feel a little sad from seeing what was originally called Hills Park Yard being ripped up, despite seeing it before & also knowing that it would never come back since the land had been sold back to the City of Atlanta, likely to become another shopping/luxury apartment area. Makes me wish that I made more effort to actually see it action when it was still in use. 6-7-18

Its a standing joke in my house, when I ask my boys if they're coming to the unit they always say no, they'd rather watch paint dry. The only time they have both said yes......

We where close to the unit, just about to cross the main road when it happened, when giving my statement I was asked to describe it and the only way I can is by saying its haunting, the sound of the impact will never leave us. The 1st time I saw him he was about a meter above the car upside down. Our 1st instinct was to run towards him, I was on the phone before I crossed over the road. I gave up on the 999 call after the 9th seemingly pointless question, plus I could hear other people on the phone to the emergency services. He was in a bad way, unconscious thank god. I gave him 1st aid the best I could, but in all honesty all I did was try and stop him from leaking and to help keep him breathing. The paramedic that arrived after about 30mins wasn't even on his way, I think he was going for his tea. The proper ambulance took 45/60 mins to arrive. The last time I saw him he was packaged up and taken into the ambulance, I handed over the drip I'd been holding, then I think I broke down, not sure, I was sat next to Frank, he was in the car that he had landed in front of, Frank saw it all and was an emotional mess, he couldn't do what I had done, I couldn't do what he did, we all cope in our own way I suppose, at least you didn't just carry on is all I could really say to him. I wasn't the only one to help, there was a lass there also, and a passing anaesthetist stopped to help out.

The picture? That's the mark the police put on the road to mark where his head was I think, its in roughly the same place anyway.

YOU BET:

It is all PHONEY: it may have to do with the forthcoming elections:

Elections ofor the new Mayor of London and the General Elections to come soon.

One has simply to buy votes for the boys in office: promises, promises!

Britain is one of the most expensive countries in the world and London frightfully expensive; Londoners are treated like cattle in the public transport system and like milking cows by penalising londoners and commuters with the highest prices in Europe for the public transport (trains, buses underground/tube), Private cars are discouraged with a lot of parking restricttions, few parking places and expensive meters: there is a stupendously high army of traffic wardens giving penalty tickets late in the night and at the weekends. Yet alternative cheaper means of transport (or national road system) simply are not at hand. nop matter which way one turns one is ripped off.

The Mayor of London and the leaders of Borough Councils and their Counsellors should be voted OUT of office; at least if nobody coould deliver a fair deal then the scam ought to be spread thiner amongst alternative candidates and for Londoners to have their representatives on such bodies, other than the paid-up faceless officials.

the truth of the matter is that londoners put up with an awful lot and so do commuters into London: if this was the state of affairs in paris, the Parisians will have been on the baricades and stormed the Mayor's office: wake up Londoners!
