The Auto Sensorex EE was Miranda's first automatic camera (for you kids, that means autoexposure, not autofocus), and one of the first generation of autoexposure SLRs. Like Konica, it used a mechanical shutter with a trap-needle meter system to control the lens aperture.
The EE is a very pleasant camera to use, I prefer it over the very similar manual Sensorex II. The E series lens mount finally got rid of the external lens coupling arm and the need to dial in your max aperture when you changed lenses. I think the Auto EE and its manual exposure twin the Sensorex II are among the most handsomely styled 35mm SLRs, although they are quite large and heavy.

Richard John "Rick" Santorum (born May 10, 1958) is an American attorney and Republican Party politician. He served as a United States Senator representing Pennsylvania (1995–2007) and was the Senate's third-ranking Republican (2001–07).He ran as a candidate for the 2012 Republican Party presidential nomination, finishing second to the eventual Republican nominee Mitt Romney.
Born in Virginia, Santorum was raised primarily in Butler, Pennsylvania. He obtained an undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University, an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, and a J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law (now part of Penn State). Santorum was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives to represent Pennsylvania's 18th congressional district in 1990 and later became a member of a group dubbed the "Gang of Seven".
Santorum was elected as a United States Senator for Pennsylvania in 1994. He served two terms until losing his re-election bid in 2006. A devout, practicing Catholic, Santorum is a social conservative who opposes same-sex marriage and artificial birth control. While serving as a senator, Santorum was the author of what came to be known as the Santorum Amendment, which promoted the teaching of intelligent design. In 2005, Santorum introduced the Workplace Religious Freedom Act along with Senator John Kerry.
In the years following his departure from the Senate, Santorum worked as a consultant, private-practice lawyer, and news contributor. On June 6, 2011 Santorum announced his run for the Republican nomination in the 2012 U.S. presidential election. Upon announcing his campaign suspension on April 10, 2012, he had won 11 primaries and caucuses and received nearly 4 million votes, making him the runner-up to eventual nominee Mitt Romney. Santorum is set to run for president for a second time in the 2016 presidential election, though he has not yet officially launched a campaign or an exploratory committee.

Rick Saucedo (born November 20, 1955) is a musician, songwriter, actor, and Elvis tribute artist.
Raised in the city of Chicago, Illinois. Saucedo had an increasing interest in music and he had always appreciated the music of Elvis Presley. In 1972, one particular song caught his attention. "Burning Love", which turned out to become the main catalyst for Saucedo and began the creation of his tribute performances to Elvis Presley. At the age of seventeen, Saucedo began performing in nightclubs and bars around Chicago. Upon forming his band The Ambassadors, Saucedo landed the role of Elvis in the 1978 Broadway musical Elvis-The Legend Lives. Along with Elvis' original backup group, The Jordanaires, Elvis' original drummer, D.J. Fontana, and original backup vocalist Millie Kirkham, Saucedo recreated Elvis' career. Ever since, Saucedo has been credited as one of the original Elvis tribute artists.
He has been performing longer than Elvis himself did and this became Rick's full-time job before people made habits out of impersonating Elvis. Decades later, Saucedo is still considered one of the top tributes to Elvis and has never stopped entertaining. He performs at clubs, restaurants, festivals, theaters, casinos, banquet halls, and more. Saucedo's schedule has him performing at over one hundred places a year.

Here's another shot from my 70-200 2.8 adventure through the Great Movie Ride. Casablanca is my 2nd favorite movie of all time so it should be no surprise I love trying to capture this scene. I've done it wide and loved it so now it was time for Rick and Ilsa's closeup. I converted to B&W to keep it authentic and the grain adds a nice touch as well. I hope you enjoy and thanks for looking.

This was my last day with a moustache (the next day I would go scuba diving, and my mask sealed much better without that feature under my nose...), and it was my very first day with a sarong ;-) Scanned from a 35mm print.

This Coronet 3-D, a 127-format stereo camera with a patented two-eye viewfinder (you need both eyes to see your picture in 3-D, you know) is the only British camera in my collection. Since it's my only English camera, it's not for sale .... but I'll happily consider a trade for a Reid or a Periflex....

LUV-A-FAIR was Vancouver's most iconic, pioneering and thrilling alternative nightclub ever!
On November 20 we will celebrate the most exciting, flamboyant, innovative era ever in Vancouver clubland: the New Wave/NewRomantic Era which started with the now legendary "sitdown" on the Luvafairs dancefloor in 1980. After the Kerasiotis brothers made the switch from beloved progressive disco DJ Richard Evans, to one who catered to artists like the Cramps, Hagen, Bowie, Roxy Music and the Clash, change did not come easily. In fact, it nearly caused a war. One night the disco-loving crowd chose to revolt by sitting down on the dance floor. It didn't work. A new era had officially started.......

LUV-A-FAIR NIGHTCLUB'S ORIGINAL NEW-ROMANTIC/WAVE ERA AND ITS HISTORY:
Luv-a-Fairs 1980 New Wave/Romantic beginnings and influences started in London. The New Romantic movement was conceived in London’s nightclubs with its pioneer Steve Strange ( influenced by Bowie) leading the charge accompanied by his experimental band Visage. From Steve’s somewhat outlandish appearance through to Visage’s new wave sound it spawned a genre in music that paved wave for acts such as Duran Duran, Ultravox and Spandau Ballet. Basically, the theme of the BLITZ club was glammy extreme dressing - the more outrageous and glamourous you looked, the higher up the ladder you were. It was here that Rusty Egan and Steve Strange provided the setting for an exotic farrago of London art students, hairdressers and fashion designers - which became the precursors of the New Romantic movement. As the ultra-chic crowd, dancing to the sophisticated music of Roxy Music, Kraftwerk and David Bowie grew, the Tuesday night was forced to relocate across town to Great Queen Street in Covent Garden in 1979.
Blitz became the new style centre and by 1981 Club for Heroes was the place to be seen Rusty Egan, the DJ, played tracks by Bowie, Roxy Music, Kraftwerk, Chic and lots of electronic dance music (remember this was the late '70s long before techno and the detournement of dance music to serious culture status.) Gary Numan also became a favourite of the club after he became big in 1979. George O'Dowd, who later became Boy George, worked in the cloakroom (until he was fired for stealing from peoples' handbags.) Steve Strange worked as doorman and developed a notorious reputation for turning away anyone whose appearance wasn't up to standard - even celebrities like Mick Jagger. It celebrated the spirit of David Bowie at clubs throughout the UK and later on the world including the ultimate influence on Vancouver's LUV-A-FAIR.
