I decided to head over to Rhode Island this morning since it was my last day off before the time change. I'd been wanting to get out and catch a sunrise while it was later in the morning so I didn't have to get up at a crazy time.

A kick @$$ set of A-B-A SD40-2s was called to bring the M-GALCLI north towards Clinton. Galesburg must have been itching to get its hump set back, so they met the M-CLIGAL at 17th Street in Rock Island, IL to swap trains. Both crews ended up dying right here in downtown Rock Island.

 

Who knew it took 12 hours to get from Clinton to RI and Galesburg to RI on the same morning?

 

Oh, and that 533 don't look too bad either!

A wonderful community seasonal tradition in our town. People sell herbs, flowers and vegetables roadside. This man has a rather elaborate set up.

Rhode Island Capital, I didn't have my dslr with me so the pictures aren't the best quality. This dome is the 4th largest of its kind in the world.

A full day; speech camp, then lunch, then travel 40 miles to the Children's Museum. A stop on the way home to hike and explore a nature preserve and then ice cream. Riley is the youngest and the last of the grand kids to get a special one on one date with Grandma.
