This Is a Cemetery That Belongs To A Small Country Church, Back In The Woods ..
My Deceased FiL Is Buried Here, And I Am Sure Today It Is Adorned With Beautiful Flowers ... With Remembering and Paying Due Respect, To Those Who Have Gone On ...
This Photo Does NOT Do It Justice ... For It Was A Fixing to Storm That Day and This Was Just Another Very " Quick Click", However i Did/ Still DO Love The Way The Flag Was A Blowing In The Wind ...
Lest We Never Forget , Those That Have Paved The Way, for Our Freedom Today ,
Also I Pray Too, That " Old Glory" May Forever Wave
Thank You Veterans - Those That Have, and Are Still Serving.... As Well As Some.. That Will Go To the Battlefields Still .
GOD BLESS YOU ALL ... Cindy

As most of US is either under rain or snow. Here in Nebraska we have had some unusually warm weather for February 2014. It was close to 50 degrees at sunset.
The light cresting against the horizon was just to good to pass up.

Dark storm clouds loom over a field, creating a dramatic contrast with the setting sun in the distance. A road sign is visible on the side of the road, while rain showers can be seen in the background.

July 27, 2016 - West of Elm Creek Nebraska, US
Its was a dry summer... Though hot and humid, storms were few and far between at the end of July 2016 in South Central Nebraska.
Now don't get me wrong... Nebraska had its fair share of severe weather this time of the year. Though all of it was either west or east of Central Nebraska. Or simply out of my chasing range.
Any storms that came within our vicinity would die and then rebuild east of my location. I work overnights so chasing the night storms this year were not in my or mother natures plans.
So when I had any opportunity to catch that perfect light, like this particular evening , I couldn't have asked for a better scenario of light and storm. I was just happy to get these captures!!!
A magical evening of Light and Storm....

The face of a New York City police officer during the Women's March on January 21st, 2017. I call this Respect because of how these men and women in blue treated the marchers with respect and how the marchers, in turn, treated New York City's finest in a similar fashion. There was no show of force with batons waving in the air or any sense of a military-style occupation. The police were there to help route the march and the flow of traffic, as your friends. The march of 400,000 was peaceful in the tradition of those I marched in back in the 60s for civil rights and against the war in Vietnam. The NYPD has a tough job ahead of them with Trump Tower, the new President's home away from DC, being located in the heart of midtown Manhattan. I salute them for their courage and respect.

Some good photo ops, as I was driving south. Tornado Warning now on the cell just to the east. Had to get to the Hwy 15 / Hwy 41 Junction to watch the wall cloud move just to the west of Wilber Nebraska.
A few of these might be a little blurry, though structure was wanted to show here. It was my only Tor Warned storm all day, as I was now close to 13 hours on my chase day. I was getting tired and I wasn't about to chase a tornado in the dark, so to get close and witness what I could as there was no light left. 1"-2" Hail now was pounding my windshield and it would only get worse. Though I rolled down the window and shot these final shots...
Final Day shots that is...

This young buck is standing at the edge of my drive way, watching a couple of turkeys eat the seed and corn I'd put out for them. He was definitely interested in joining the party, but seemed to be intimidated by the turkeys.

This image has been MONTHS in the making. When I first found this figurine on Amazon, I knew exactly what I would do with it haha. It got lost in the mail for a month until I got my hands on it finally last week haha.
I took this on Moraine Lake Road this morning. It was cloudy, rainy and cold. All of these images I now have of Highway Patrol Cartman made my drive out there worth while! Oh how I love South Park haha.

May an old log beaten by wind and rain,
Grey from the long winter,
burnt at the base in late summer.
May an old log, washed ashore by tumbling waves.
Refuged by the ants and moths, Oh… so surrendered...
May an old log so forgotten today…
command respect for what it once was?!!!
I took a picture of Tommy, the steel sculpture on Seaham sea front two years ago, and have merged it with a picture of wild poppies I took earlier this year.
I think it important we remember our forefathers who served our country and gave their lives to protect our families, our nation, our traditions and our values. I've no time for those white and purple poppies. It was a human war . And it's the red poppy that symbolises the blood spilt in the torn up fields of the battlefields.
And I shall always respect the unselfish duty and sacrifice those men gave for our tomorrows.

A vast landscape is dominated by swirling, ominous clouds hinting at an approaching storm. The darkened sky contrasts with the subtle light of the horizon, casting a moody atmosphere over the open fields. Sparse vegetation on the gentle hills adds to the stark beauty of the scene.

Respecting one another takes us in the right direction. We all have our traditions and ways of life, which, if we choose to we can use to our benefit by learning from one another and appreciating and embracing our differences.

Yes he was and our guide did an excellent job of finding him. Marie was her name and she earned the respect of her fellow male guides. Every morning she greeted us with colorful precise eye make up on, but it was obvious that she could drive her Land Rover with skill and her tracking abilities were great.

My deepest respect and greetings to all the photographers of the world.
Many people that have mentioned that they’ve never heard of World Photography Day. Why is that? World Photography Day wasn’t ‘created’ by a big brand as a marketing tool. Rather, it’s a day where photographers had started to come together to celebrate photography, just because they could. Any excuse to throw a party right? Slowly, groups around the world have started to get on board with the idea of World Photography Day and you will find traces of World Photography Day being celebrated over the last 20 years or so. Each year, World Photography Day has gained momentum and this year, we’re hoping to bring photographers together once again with an even larger audience.
Why August 19th?
World Photography Day originates from the invention of the Daguerreotype, a photographic processes developed by Louis Daguerre. On January 9, 1839, The French Academy of Sciences announced the daguerreotype process. A few months later, on August 19, 1839, the French government announced the invention as a gift “Free to the World.”
Another photographic processes, the Calotype, was also invented in 1839 by William Fox Talbot (it was announced in 1841). Together, the invention of both the Daguerreotype and Calotype mark 1839 as the year that photography was invented.

Please stop by and view all four images as I would love your input. I know that I normally show mostly landscapes but I am trying to be patient waiting for my new Website. My husband has been studying all winter and I should have something on the web by May.
Tricia and Joachim were such a joy to Photoshoot as their excitement and love for each other made my job a breeze! I love to see people who are comfortable with who they are and I wish them all my very Best Wishes for the upcoming birth of their child. It was a pleasure!
