Niagara Falls or Golden Niagara Falls is a waterfall in Niagara Canyon, part of Niagara Creek in Goldstream Park near Langford, British Columbia, Canada. It drops 47.5 metres (156 ft) down a narrow gully into a pool and a flowing creek and is roughly the same height as it's more famous namesake.

I have always bought only SanDisk extreme cards, but sometime back i needed an extra card so i ended up buying this cheap transcend card, because it was the only class 10 left in the shop.
Few days ago i realized this card was missing from my card holder... and i realized, i last put it in my pocket, in my pants...
looked at Caterina and oh oh, those pants been washed and dried and ironed and were in the closet already. no way it would've survived all that, she goes to check and yes, it was still in the pocket, all cleaned and dry lol and you wont believe it, IT STILL WORKS! so Transcend just gained my full RESPECT!

pochi giorni fa mi sono accorto che mancava proprio questa scheda, dopo averla cercata dappertutto ci siamo accorti che era rimasta nella tasca dei pantaloni che Caterina aveva lavato, asciugato e stirato. Ero, quindi pronto a buttarla ma per pura curiosità ho voluto provare...e ragazzi la scheda funziona ancora che è una meraviglia rispetto a Transcend.
React, Respect, Intersect was created by two professional artists and a team of youth artists as part of the Groundswell Community Mural Project’s flagship Summer Leadership Institute (SLI). SLI teams spend seven weeks during working with artists and community-based organizations, learning job skills and creating public art throughout New York City. This mural depicts a utopian environment where vehicular traffic, pedestrians of all ages and abilities, bicyclists, skateboarders, and animals respectfully share the street. It focuses not only on traffic and pedestrian safety education, but also site-specific themes and cultural diversity.
The safety education focus of this mural was informed by workshops lead by NYCDOT Safety Education. The artists and youth artists researched safety issues near the mural site which influenced their final design. Speed of vehicular traffic, high levels of carbon dioxide in the air, and the need for all modes of transportation to respectfully share the streets are just a few of the themes beautifully integrated in to this mural.

An honorary member of the North Charleston Fire Department, Jonathan Kennedy passed away in February 2014 at age 30. Although unable to become a firefighter due to complications with Crouzon syndrome, Jonathan’s presence was constant and respected within the fire stations of North Charleston.
The Exhibit Hall at the North Charleston and American LaFrance Fire Museum and Educational Center was dedicated in memory of Jonathan.

A portrait of my late grandma's youngest brother - a true son of the soil; a gentleman who has spent his entire life devoted to farming his small piece of land. A quiet man who has led a life imbued with principles, dignity and small joys though not wholly devoid of its share of sorrows.

[A set of 16 photos] This Lynchburg, Virginia house, built in 1902, is an elaborate Queen Anne frame house, rich in details; and sadly it shows serious signs of neglect. It has a hip-roof, intersecting gables and small wings on the sides. The corner tower has an ogee roof of metal and bracketed eaves. The three visible chimneys are all internal, paneled and have corbeled tops. The stacks of the two larger front chimneys are tall, each with two long vertical panels in the bottom section and two smaller panels in the upper. The small chimney set back some from the front contains only one panel in each of the sections and is much smaller in size. The front gable is pedimented with a centered row of three windows; it's filled with decorated Eastlake-style woodwork. Above this is a large sunburst design. Below the attic level is a recessed porch with triple colonettes supporting a wide low arch. Wood ornamentation in the shape of a wreath is above the each of the slender column groupings. The wraparound porch has five clusters of triple colonettes resting on piers of brick; where the porch meets the house proper are individual columns set on brick piers as well. The balusters are turned. The hanging frieze below the eaves is composed of spindlework. The entrance to the porch projects slightly to cover the three steps to the wooden porch floor. The house has 12 rooms and is 4052 square feet. It now consists of four apartments. The National Register nomination form suggests George Franklin Barber as the architect, stating that the architect of the house was not local; but the Friends of Rivermont website suggests local Lynchburg architect Edward G. Frye. The house is included in the Rivermont Historic District and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places April 11, 2003 with ID#03000224.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Seven metres at 13:15pm on Tuesday 10th October 2023 off the Mall and Horse Guards Road within the grounds of St James's Park in Central London, one of the Royal parks of London situated in South West London.
This is a pair of Great White Pelicans (Pelecanus Onocrotalus), of which there are six beautiful individuals now residing in St James's Park. Weighing in at roughly 11kgs, they have wingspans of up to three metres and a six foot body length. They are also known as the Eastern white pelican, Rosy Pelican or White Pelican and are found mostly in Southeastern Europe, Asia and the African swamps and lakes.
First introduced to St James's Park in 1664 as a gift from the Russian Ambassador, over 40 pelicans have since made the park home.

Not being known as a very deep lyricist, I will say that this was one of Bret Michaels’ finest moments writing lyrics. I figure if he can work for Donald Trump, he deserves at least that amount of respect.
This was the first single that they released after CC Deville exited the band. I was excited at the possibility with Ritchie Kotzen stepping in, but he didn’t last long either. This song though, really struck at some soul strings and has popped up off and on through my life.
There really are not many times where I have had to make a principled stand for what I believe- to really take a stand for myself and how I am being treated. It is a hard thing to do when the world is going against your way so it seems. But what I have found is that when you do take stands for yourself, even if the world throws you away- you land in a better place than where you were.
This is a hard thing for anyone to do, but when you do it- you learn and grow from it. I love the line that says when you repress yourself you seal your fate… how very true. I have done that enough in my life, and I don’t need to do it anymore. This song always reminds me to have confidence in what I believe, and draw a line and take that firm stand!

Located adjacent the first Lobethal Institute Hall of 1898.
The Lobethal Centennial Hall foundation stone was laid on 8 August in 1936 on the centenary of the proclamation of the state of South Australia. About 600 people were present to witness the beginning of a new hall to replace the old Institute.
Mr C Meyer, one of the district's oldest and highly respected citizens laid the stone. Mr Meyer had been a member of the Institute Committee since 1894. He was one of the first trustees and a life member.
Local people bought seats for £1 each, to help furnish the hall built in the Art Deco style. Their names are still on the back of the seats.
The hall is also the site of film screenings.
The architect was Chris Smith of Adelaide.
Contractors: Messrs Newman & O'Malley of Lobethal.
Estimated cost of construction £3,165.
ORIGINAL LOBETHAL INSTITUTE
The foundation stone of the Lobethal Institute was laid on 19 March 1898 by Dr Esau, of Woodside, in the presence of about 400 people. Dr Esau was the recipient of a silver trowel, given by the committee. The stone was presented by Mr F W Habich, of Tanunda. [Ref: Adelaide Observer 26-3-1898]
The present contract was only for the hall, stage, and rear ante-rooms, but the contractors had given a price for the whole building, including the front, and it was certain they would never get it done cheaper.
Architect: A H Lowry of Woodside. Contractors: Kumnick, Kroger and Pingel of Lobethal.
The dimensions are 42 ft frontage by depth of 76 ft. The building will consist of a front block containing a reading-room and library, each 15 ft by 13 ft, and a lobby 7ft wide. The main hall leading of the lobby is to be 127 ft, and the stage 16 ft deep, having a platform 2 ft 2 in high.
The material is Lobethal bluestone with red brick dressings. Provision has been made at the back of the building for future extensions. [Ref: Advertiser 22-3-1898]
The Lobethal Institute building was formally opened 26 August 1898. At the conclusion of the ceremony a luncheon was held, followed by a tea at 3 o’clock.. In the evening an entertainment was held by the Woodside Minstrels, and a ball terminated the day.
Institute Rooms
The Lobethal Institute committee held a successful bazaar on Friday and Saturday in aid of the building fund. Mr R Homburg MP performed the opening ceremony of the new additions (two rooms) to the front of the building. [Ref: Advertiser 26-11-1903]
Lobethal Institute History and Advance
Lobethal is certainly beginning to rank amongst the go-ahead country townships, and the latest improvement is the starting of the building of a banqueting hall at the rear of the institute. If the pioneers of the movement were to return they would find the institute now beyond their original dreams. In 1885 a few of the local townsmen held a meeting, with a view to starting a library.
A small brick building was hired and a few books purchased. This was carried on for a number of years until it was thought advisable to have a hall for amusements.
In 1898 the foundation stone was laid by the late Dr Esau, and in the same year the institute was opened.
Movements have been working during the past three years to raise funds to build a banqueting hall, and a strong ladies' committee - Mrs. W. R. Redpath (president) – have worked well and by their efforts £170 has been raised towards the outlay.
Mrs Redpath laid the foundation stone of the banqueting hall. It is hoped it will open in February. [Ref: Mount Barker Courier and Onkaparinga and Gumeracha Advertiser 28-22-1913]
The township name of Lobethal was changed to Tweedvale during World War One as a consequence of anti-German prejudice. The town name later reverted to Lobethal.

Dennis is my boss. And he fits the description - the students and staff respect him. He is the kind of guy you like working for. He is understanding but can put the hammer down when he needs to! He is a big guy, dresses well and doesn't mess around! But, he is also understanding. He was a teacher and understands how things work. He lets the staff do their thing and handle our business in the classroom. And he feels that is where we as a staff can be successful. And to me, that is paramount.
I first contacted Dennis back in the Spring of 2007. I was teaching at Holicong Middle School for Central Bucks School District. I got that job right out of college and life was good. But I just wasn't feeling the middle school vibe even though I enjoyed the staff at Holicong. So I found out that Hatboro-Horsham (HH) was hiring a Technology Education teacher at the High School. I really knew nothing about HH but figured I should inquire. So I called the contact person, who was Mr. Williams. Little did I know, he was the Principal! So I called him and we spoke for a few minutes and he sounded like a great guy and seemed very interested that I was interested in the job. He then gave me Lori Gallagher's name (you will see her soon!) Lori was the department head of the Family Consumer Science, Art and Technology Education department. So I gave her a call and she was great in describing the school, department, etc. Long story short, after a great interview, I got the job.
Leaving Holicong was not easy and honestly was one of the hardest career decisions I have ever made. But I have not regretted that decision and have loved every second of being here at HH. And Dennis is one of those reasons why.
Every school has it issues, hurdles and trying times. In today's education field, times have never been harder. Terrible decisions from the State and National level force schools into a corner in nearly every scenario. We have become a society solely dependent upon test scores. How did your school/student score in this test, in that test, etc. It's been somehow used to determine how good a school is these days. Which is a shame because testing has no real world value in society. Can you imagine coming out of college, going in for an interview and the interviewer going "so, back in the 11th grade, how did you test on your Keystone Science test?" Get out. It's meaningless. The employer will be asking you what type of real world experience you have in your field, what can you contribute to your staff/colleagues , how involved are you in extra-curricular activities, do you belong to any professional organizations, etc. We are forced to teach to the test. Not to the student. And that is a sad part of today's education. The decisions being passed down are short sighted. Tax payers want teachers and schools held accountable. And honestly, there is nothing wrong with that. But when you have to find a way to analyze a teacher/administrator and do it by test scores alone, there is a major flaw there.
Dennis is a great leader and someone who understands the hurdles we face going forward. He is the perfect guy to delegate when he needs to and be hands off when he needs to. You can't ask for much more than that!
