A shot I wanted to upload for a long time. The third shot of a short trip along the Arnafjord that started on a grey day and turned out wonderfully sunny when I arrived at this spot. (two other shots can be found here, www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/33286725786, www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/30205589876).
Lovely valleys, bare mountains and cold winds, snow packs, glaciers, beautiful lakes, and then there are the enchanting fjords that never stop to amaze. The most beautiful country of Europe, for me no doubt about that, with only one minor aspect, which is the weather. During my month of traveling I only had 4 really nice days, the rest of the time clouds, rain, and very changeable! Still no regret, and I will go back to make even more than the 3500 pictures that I took this time.
Another very active
vacation that took me to the south west up to Trondheim in a sort of triangle between Oslo- Trondheim and Bergen with the whole route visible here (www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153668247101759&set...).
Have fun. Regret nothing, and don't let people bring you down.

Humans tend to anthropomorphize animal expressions. When I took the picture, I saw a sad face, for all it cares the bird was maybe looking for food or making digestion :)
France. Alpes. Savoie.
Why didn't I learn to treat everything like it was the last time. My greatest regret was how much I believed in the future.

I regretted my haste in putting a quick collage of my poppy shots so am posting my two favourite single poppy shots slightly cropped...
I'm wishing you were here
My weakness is my fear
Alone I am myself
No reason left for me to care
Distracted by the sound
I hear footsteps all around
Empowered by adrenaline
Feel I've been born again

This is why I like photography so much, it makes beautiful some things which one (myself included) would normally consider ugly. I do absolutely not regret having climbed a “terril” under more than 30 degrees to catch this view… More pics from Charleroi will follow…

I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow
And each road leads you where you want to go
And if you’re faced with the choice and you have to choose
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you
And if one door opens to another door closed
I hope you keep on walkin’ ‘til you find the window
If it’s cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile
But more than anything, more than anything
My wish for you
Is that this life becomes all that you want it to
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small
You never need to carry more than you can hold
And while you’re out there gettin’ where you’re gettin’ to
I hope you know somebody loves you
And wants the same things too
Yeah, this is my wish
I hope you never look back but you never forget
All the ones who love you
And the place you left
I hope you always forgive and you never regret
And you help somebody every chance you get
Oh, you find God’s grace in every mistake
And always give more than you take
But more than anything, yeah more than anything
This is my wish
I hope you know somebody loves you
May all your dreams stay big
without regret
they fall and scatter…

As I already explained, I only had my zoom lens on my camera when I visited Nancy. It was therefore impossible for me most often, to my great regret, to take overall views of the monuments I saw.
Here, I fortunately found a reflective half sphere placed on the sidewalk. You could admire a reflection of the cathedral there. By taking this sphere from afar, I was able to restore with my zoom lens an original overall view of this building.

" Days ache and nights are long
Two years and still, you're not gone
Guess I'm still holding on
Drag my name through the dirt
Somehow it doesn't hurt though
Guess you're still holding on
You told your friends you want me dead
And said that I did everything wrong
And you're not wrong
Well, I'll take all the vitriol
But not the thought of you moving on
'Cause I'm not ready
To find out you know how to forget me
I'd rather hear how much you regret me
And pray to God that you never met me
Than forget me
Oh, I hate to know I made you cry
But love to know I cross your mind, babe, oh, I
Even aftеr all, it'd still wreck me
To find out you'd know how to forget mе
Even after all this time
Days ache and nights are grey
My heart is still your place, babe
Guess I still feel the same
Know you can't stand my face
Some scars you can't erase, babe
Guess you still feel the same
Well, I'll take all the vitriol
But not the thought of you moving on
'Cause I'm not ready
To find out you know how to forget me
I'd rather hear how much you regret me
And pray to God that you never met me
Than forget me
Oh, I hate to know I made you cry
But love to know I cross your mind, babe, oh, I
Even after all, it'd still wreck me
To find out you'd know how to forget me
Even after all this time
I'm not ready to let you forget me
To let you forget me, to let you for—, oh
I'm not ready to let you forget me
To let you forget me, to let you for—, oh (even after all this time)
I'm not ready to let you forget me
To let you forget me, to let you for—, oh
I'm not ready to let you forget me
To let you forget me, to let you for—, oh
'Cause I'm not ready
To find out you know how to forget me
I'd rather hear how much you regret me
And pray to God that you never met me
Than forget me
Oh, I hate to know I made you cry
But love to know I cross your mind, babe, oh, I
Even after all, it'd still wreck me
To find out you'd know how to forget me

I regret not seeking out more of Guilford/Pan Am high hood GP40s and 35s when they were around; I foolishly didn't think there was all that much special about them. I was looking around on my hard drive last week and did find a few keepers, like this view of an NMED train at Salmon Falls in Rollinsford. At the time I was much more excited to see the trailing HLCX lease unit; this was in the era that all I ever saw was GRS painted locomotives. Imagine that, being unhappy about everything having matching paint!
Last summer memories. A trip up by a cable car to Hauser Kaibling plateau from Haus im Ennstal in Planai area. We then took a circular hike around the mountain. The hike with spectacular panoramic views and fabulous blankets of pink Alpenrose spread over the hills on the both sides of the path. About halfway, we joined the trail No45, a 1 hour hike to Moaralmsee. We didn’t regret, a lovely hike and a beautiful alpine lake at 1827 m. The path was quite narrow in places and on a steep hill too – an interesting challenge especially when you need to overtake a large group ahead of us. But what a fabulous day that was. Here are few memorable shots from the adventure on that day. Planai. Shladminger, Styria; Austria.
Never know what I've become
The king of all that's said and done
The forgotten son

It's been awhile.
Hoping everyone has a great New Year!
Don't let anyone treat you any less than you deserve.
I spent last weekend at our summer cottage and it was quite summery :) And now we have an "extended weekend" because today is May Day and tomorrow is also off-school ♥ The weather won't be that nice but at least I'll have some time to edit and post pictures. I'll try to become more active here because I uploaded like 4 photos last month and that just isn't enough for me. I kinda regret the fact I didn't participate ADAW this year, but oh well...

On the shore of the Seine River
After the photo stop at the Place de la Concorde, we had initially planned to go first to the Louvre Museum, for which admission is free on the first Sunday of each month.
But it was so pleasant on the shores of the Seine River!
Therefore, we got tempted by a stroll by the docks from the Louvre to Notre Dame before heading back. And we did not regret it ...
Here is a fantastic place, which, far from the usual Parisian hustle and touristic invasion above us, was almost quiet by contrast, just troubled from times to times by tourist river boats.
And Paris is so beautiful, at the water's edge, with a splendid weather.

Trin Warren Tam-Boore Bellbird Waterhole - Melbourne
Austrália
Forty hours after waking up in our bed, we landed in Melbourne. As soon as we got our car, we drove to this place in the middle of Melbourne because we were very anxious to start photographing lifers.
The first great surprise was that we didn’t have to pay for parking. Amazing, something very unusual for us in our cities.
We immediately spotted 7 or 8 lifers.
This is a common species, and we already knew that. The problem with common species, when we’re short on time, is that we don’t spend enough time with them, and then, when we return, we regret it.
