Camera check before meeting with a new client who has commissioned me to redo all the imagery/ photos for their website. Just love it when these kind of jobs come in.

Earlier this year we took a short break in the English Lake District. It wasn't a particularly photographic holiday but of course there are always some opportunities to be exploited.
Sunset on the Black Cuillins. These mountains are always black except when sunset paints them with golden light.
reflecting on this very soggy, wet, washout summer...
...but...just think....if it was winter ...and the jet stream was still stuck in the same position...we'd be under about 10 foot of snow by now!!
It will move before winter....won't it??

This time the hike back to Mirror Lake was worth it....later in the year it will be completely dried up.
With a breeze the reflection on the water was mesmerizing in the solitude of the area, a good place to sit, watch and reflect on the ending summer season and where it went. Seems like the summer shirts were just freshened for use and now the winter ones are being freshened and fall colors beginning.

I don't think it is possible to straighten a photo of houses in Amsterdam.
Many of them are leaning forward and were built that way on purpose.
They are very narrow and tall and when they move furniture they do it from outside.
There are hooks at the tops of many homes and they pull the furniture up that way.
If the house is leaning forward then they don't damage it when they move the furniture.
