This is a bit bigger than full frame - I chopped Red 1's nose off and had to stitch it back on from another photo. Had I known they would be as close as they were I'd had put a shorter one on...!
This started off with a regular photo of the red-wing blackbird on my driveway, but I played with it a lot in Photoshop Lightroom until it looked drawing like. Increasing the exposure, shadows, highlights, and blacks a lot left the cement mostly white. Similar could be done by over exposing the shot in camera. From the near overexposed bird, I turned the Clarity slider to full power.

Our Acer is still clinging onto its leaves - just a couple left - the rest are dry and crisp - ready to fall. A chill feel to the weather today. The lawn is like a sponge - so the predicted sunshine and dry rest of the week will be very welcome!

Spent a lovely afternoon taking images of Pippa posing in the snow in my red Gloverall duffle coat. Pippa's idea to wear a dress in the snow by the way, brave girl brrrrr
