10th Street trailhead of the Kal Haven Trail, Kalamazoo, Michigan.
The caboose was the ticket office, back when they charged a fee to use the trail. It is also a reminder that the Kal Haven Trail was once a rail road that connected Kalamazoo with South Haven.
I wasn't going to post another today but well I needed a study break so decided to process a shot from yesterday and it was talking to me saying upload to flickr,
hhmm do your photos talk to you too ? or am i the only silly one that has that problem ...
Watching one red squirrel is facinating but when there are three chasing around the same tree trunk you just have to take your camera away from your face and wait until the competition is over.
A time exposure captures the raising of the gates at Willrett Road near Malta, IL, on the evening of 7-16-11. The extra red lights at the horizon are from a turbine windmill farm.

Het doel is om een indruk te geven van de zware tocht die een Europese landverhuizer moest afleggen om een betere toekomst tegemoet te kunnen gaan. Het laatste deel van de tentoonstelling verbindt het verleden met het heden om aan te tonen dat migratie een universeel en tijdloos gegeven is Wikipedia

I took this another evening but honestly, you don't really get to see this every night... Or at least, I don't!
I have no idea what this is. My wife and I were walking around the Gardens at Mt. Vernon (George Washington's home) and this really caught my eye. Of course red usually does.
