Spectacular waves of sandstone illumination photographed from deep inside Antelope Canyon. Ever since I saw pictures of the canyon in Art Wolfe's book, I dreamed about exploring it. The rich colors and hues are completely natural. These are the result of how the camera records reflections of direct light and different color temperatures onto the already colorful sandstone. The best time or more popular time to photograph the canyon is in the summer from around 10 am to 2pm. However, the Navaho Indian tribe now allow you to visit the canyon only two hours per day.
Believe it or not, exposures are not really tricky in the slot canyon to digital cameras. I bracketed 4 exposures for the scene but ended up to use only two (RAW files) to edit. I manually blend the two exposures in PS and leave the dark parts as they are.
Thanks for looking and comments and critiques are always welcome! Best view LARGE!!!

A few hummingbirds are still hanging around, which was a surprise to me. I checked out Google and found out that a type called Anna's will stay around all winter if you keep them fed. So I have my trusty feeders full and will keep a couple extras in the house to trade out if they freeze. They are fighting like crazy and it seems there is one bully in the crowd that chases them all off. This is the baby one of the group, and I don't see him getting a sip in very often, so I have decided to hang a few feeders in the front of the house to maybe draw part of the crowd up front so nobody starves.
