The Saginaw office made cookies and donated them to the Community Restoration Outreach Center. RCO is a homeless shelter in Saginaw that houses

homeless men who are also dealing with substance abuse issues. RCO is also one of our community partners where we provide HIV testing and prevention

education. The picture to the right is the RCO staff holding the cookies. They also sent the office a thank you card.

Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley, right, talks with Senate Pro Tem Del Marsh, left, state Sen. Greg Reed and state Sen. Jim McClendon before announcing a five year agreement with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that Alabama has been approved for the 1115 Waiver from the CMS, at the Capitol in Montgomery, Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016. The Alabama Medicaid Agency could receive up to $748 million in federal money over five years to help Alabama's regional care organizations (RCO's) start up and pay for projects to boost access to medical care, improve its quality and reduce its cost. SB340 in 2013 was sponsored by Sen. Reed and then state Rep. Jim McClendon, who now serves in the state Senate. It mandated the creation of regional care organizations (RCOs) to start a managed-care system for about 650,000 Alabamians on Medicaid. (Governor's Office, Jamie Martin)
