Wintertuin Krasnapolsy
Sopraan Laetitia Gerards beschikt over uitzonderlijk talent en een enorme vertelkracht, waarmee zij als geen ander een brug weet te slaan naar het publiek. Muzikale verhalen vertellen zit nu eenmaal in haar bloed. Dit concert doet zij dat samen met Camerata RCO, een van de meest gevraagde ensembles van dit moment en bestaande uit leden van het Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest. De jonge zangeres is genomineerd voor de GrachtenfestivalPrijs 2016.
Het laatste concert in de serie Meesterlijk! staat in het teken van Wenen, Berlijn, het Europa van de jaren ’20 van de vorige eeuw. Over componisten die de oversteek maakten naar de Verenigde Staten en ook daar hun sporen nalieten. Alban Berg was nog student bij Arnold Schönberg toen hij ‘Sieben Frühe Lieder’ schreef; over de nacht, dromen en de liefde. Erich Wolfgang Korngold was een van de grondleggers van de filmmuziek en maakte de overtocht van Wenen naar Hollywood. Laetitia zingt het aangrijpende ‘Marietta’s Lied’ (Glück das mir verblieb) uit Korngolds opera ‘Die tote Stadt’. Ook speelt het ensemble delen uit de Suite uit Stravinsky's 'L’Histoire du Soldat'. De van oorsprong Russische componist kwam via Frankrijk uiteindelijk in de Verenigde Staten terecht.
In de serie Meesterlijk! spelen musici op verzoek van het Grachtenfestival in unieke combinaties. Jonge musici, onder wie de genomineerden voor de GrachtenfestivalPrijs, spelen samen met muzikale vrienden en doorgewinterde meesters uit het vak. Vier unieke concerten op een prachtige locatie: de Wintertuin van Hotel Krasnapolsky. Werkelijk Meesterlijk!

Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley addressed the Alabama Health Literacy Partnership Stakeholder Meeting in Montgomery, Friday, Feb. 12, 2016. Gov. Bentley discussed the recent decision from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide federal money to support the transition to Medicaid Regional Care Organizations (RCO's), which could qualify the state for up to $748 million over five years to help start and improve its RCO program, and the Alabama's Great State 2019 Plan that aims at increasing the number of doctors and other medical providers in the state's poorest counties.
