Aston Martin Centiary Celebration, 100 years (1913-2013) i have never seen so many Aston's in one place and probably never will. Many cars have Rallye stickers, they were on the rally from Europe, which started 14 days ago and been through Scotland and finished in Kensington Palace Garden.
A random Rapide we found parked in Venice Beach on Washington Blvd. It was cool to see it among some of the grotesque restaurants and shops in Venice Beach
The highly detailed beautiful cut away of the Aston Martin Rapide is displayed at the Aston Martin Dealership in Park Land London, where it will be there till October 20. The German ZF Gearbox is mounted on the back (transaxle). With a full tank of fuel the weight distribution is a sporty 51/49(F/R) There are 2 Siemens ECU mounted on both side, 1 ECU is capable of managing the engine but the 2nd one is there fore backup. The suspension is Billstein, also from Germany. Unlike modern cars with electric power steering, the rapid still uses a mechanical link / hydraulic power steering which provides excellent feedback.
In person, it really is a good looking car. The back doors aren't really what you would call "large" though.
It'd be a bit odd to purchase an Aston to have as a family car. You'd really buy one for the power. But, it's still got that, so why not.
