"Sunrise at Race Point Lighthouse"
Provincetown, MA
Race Point Light is a historic lighthouse on Cape Cod, in Provincetown, Massachusetts. It was first established in 1816, the third light on Cape Cod (after Highland Light (1797) and Chatham Light (1808)). The original light was a 25 feet (7.6 m) rubblestone tower that featured one of the earliest rotating beacons, which distinguished it from others on Cape Cod. In 1858 the light got a fourth order Fresnel lens and, in 1874, a second keeper's quarters. In 1875, after significant deterioration of the original tower, it was replaced with an iron tower lined with brick. The original keeper's house was rebuilt as part of the project. The station was electrified in 1957. The larger keeper's house was removed in 1960 and the other was updated.
The station has been restored by the Cape Cod Chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation, and both the keeper's house and the whistle house are available for vacation rental.
Race Point Light was added to the National Register of Historic Places as Race Point Light Station on June 15, 1987, reference number 87001482.
This photo was taken in Dingle, Co. Kerry in August this year at a currach race where crews from all over Ireland came to compete in a rowing event in a currach, which is a traditional wooden rowing boat.
Looks like Vinzent likes what he sees in the "warp speed speedometer".
This cardboard racecar was made by his Mom and Dad on top of a wagon for Halloween. They used painter's tape on the cardboard to get the stripes while spray-painting the cardboard. And they were quite inventive with cardboard tubes and aluminum foil to make the cart.
This was edited in Photoshop Elements 14 trying out the smudge tool along with some others.
The racecar and Vinzent are a separate layer. The background was then "smudged" with the tool that stretches the image. First the rearview mirrors were smudged, then the "spoiler" and then Vinzent's hair. The background colors were hue shifted (dropdown menus under "Enhance" get to the color adjustments) so the brown leaves became green.

Connecticut Southern CSO-4 and Amtrak 470, both running in reverse, race each other through CP-98 in Springfield this afternoon. 470 was completing its run from New Haven, while CSO-4 was shoving back through the interlocking to turn south and head for home.
Visited the Skerries 100 race, this would be the best photo of the day, except for this fella, who wanted to extend the phone so his friend could hear the engines roar. As if they weren't loud enough...

negative traits should be ended, wild shouldn't be used for the purpose of entertainment. In the past people used to hunt rabbits by the help of trained dogs. Course of nature should not be disrupted or the consequences could be terrible
Jessie and Woody wanted to have a race.
Chicken has her money on Bullseye (Woody's horse). She hopes Jessie knows hers is a Donkey. >.<
Chicken: On your mark, ready, set, go!!!
..is on..
Technical stuff: The only change from the original shot (which is also in this set) is that I converted it to B&W. No added vignetting or other effects. The forest around was so dense and dark that it makes it look like there's vignetting, but sometimes nature just provides. :)

This was from a senior picture shoot I did. He was really into Sprint Car Racing so I had a lot of fun with that. But with this shot I really enjoyed the intense focus he had. Really cool to see
In race days, lots of people will be gathered on off-course betting branches. As there are no sits on these betting branches, some people sits outside any available 'sit' near the branches with a racing post and a radio.
