Murgon Loco 918, 993, 933 - 6.7.68 C17s N° 918, N° 993 and N° 933 stand in Murgon’s rudimentary loco facilities situated inside the fork line junction of the Kingaroy and Proston Branches. The line on the right leads to Theebine with the Up Home signal visible in the distance. The local fettling gang’s shed is on the far right. Murgon was an out depot of Gympie and three engines were usually stabled there.

An Aramac bound train climbs away from Lagoon Creek at dusk after connecting with 54A Mixed at Barcaldine in March 1972. The Tramway owned very little rollingstock during its lifetime and all loading except passengers and parcels were conveyed in QGR wagons. This train ran regularly on Tuesdays and Fridays to connect with 54A Mixed from Rockhampton. Until the sealing of the Capricorn Highway over the Drummond Range in 1984, Central West towns were totally reliant on rail for transportation of most supplies and for access to Rockhampton. Barcaldine township is in the distance.

W. T. Quirk (1908-1977) is one of the Isle of Man's most popular and prolific poets.

He published alomst weekly in the Manx newspapers for decades and published many books, but this reflected only some of his volumous writing. An increasing amount of this is being published (often for the first time) today on the W. T. Quirk website.
