the secret of the fox

ancient mystery

somewhere deep in the woods

I know you're hiding

what is your sound?

will we ever know?

will always be a mystery

what do you say?

Male Baltimore Oriole wanting to go on the Hummingbird feeder in my backyard.

Raw shot at our cemetery.

Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus)

They seemed like nervous birds. They would all get up and fly around in circles out over the marsh and land back down near the waters edge at Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in Galloway, NJ.

... Quick dusting of snow followed by warm temperatures really gets the birds active. Liked this finch there against the late afternoon light on the blue sky.

Moraine Lake, Alberta Canada. We woke up at 3:30am and headed towards the lake for a 5:35am sunrise. When we reached the lake the parking lot was already full by 3am they said. I drove up a little bit to photograph Lake Louise as a consolation that morning and when we were headed back towards Banff we noticed they had opened the gates for four cars to pass through. We were one of them. There are about 120 parking spots at this lake and they fill up quickly. It's the hardest "lottery" to get in without a bus reservation of some sorts and those don't let you for sunrise. It was 6:51am when I shot this photograph. While I didn't get the early morning blue hour, I was quite happy to come away with this shot for myself.

I raced up the rock pile to get this view. I don't mind sharing that I was huffing and puffing going up that trail, running like a kid on Christmas morning. After I thought all hope was lost, I sat in and took in the views of this iconic location. For those that don't know, this image is also on the Canadian twenty dollar bill. They call it the "Twenty Dollar View".

We ended up visiting four National Parks (Glacier NP in the USA), Banff, Jasper, and Yoho in Canada. A long roadtrip with so many memories.

A quick one from the phone, on the way back from countryside live.

A quick visit to the coast of Western Alentejo and just to photograph the storks. Also, weather was unpredictable. So, I only had one lens. Hence, this picture. Lucky that is was sunny and dry whilst we were there, well for a few moments. These are baby seagulls.

Quick and dirty. It's ok... Painting with three fractured ribs, which is why it's been a little while.

I'll go back to the intense fills and crazy letters etc once the ribs have healed. I just needed to get something up on the wall today... I was going nuts not having done a piece for ages.

I'm sure those of you who followed me last year around late summer and early fall remember a spunky little juvenile male hummingbird named Buzz who dominated my photos. Well, a solid eight months later, and it appears that Buzz, after crossing the eastern United States and the Gulf of Mexico twice, has found his way back to my yard and quickly assumed control. I'm glad to have him back, and I hope I see him often this summer.

made this johnny quick and thaught I'd post him. I am almost done with arsenal and I am working on lex luthor superman so those will hopefully come up sooner rather than later :)

Two tortoises, the rock or the dwarf caiman? Visiting the Tropical House at the Assiniboine Zoo there seemed to be a standoff between the two tortoises and the dwarf caiman... or were they just watching the rock? lol

I wanted to make a picture of this awesome skin from Avarosa - Tae (Peach) ♥ I really love their skins and always recommend them, because Avarosa is the best creator of SL skins! This is my lovely thanks to them, that I won this skin, and one day I hope, they will open Blogotex. I wish to be part of the blogger team! 🙏

I would also like to highlight the Wings store, which recently released a new hair (ES0305). And if you would also like to know where the denim jacket is from, it is from the Gagui store!

Thank you and stay healthy! ♥

A common woodland resident.

During mating season, the Australian magpie can become aggressive and attack humans crossing its territory. Fortunately for this man, this swooping macaw was friendly and just wanted to perch on his owners hand.
