Quick Stop

Took this a bit ago, going through some older photos I never looked at. Taken at the Quick Stop in Livermore, California. Taken with my Olympus SP350.

August 7, 2005. Barrow.

The court had apparantly moved to a newer building and leased the old building to the Quickstop convenience mart. The juxtaposition of the names, however, was pretty funny.

Cardboard Sled Racer #220 won this heat but stopped quickly when she hit the rough stuff after the finish line. She walked away.

More later. I shot a few hundred and am enjoying the views.

These little swimmers had just plopped into the water shortly before I took this shot. They were so adorable and fuzzy I wanted to follow them everywhere!

While my primary goal of the visit to Yoctangee Park was to check on and photograph the cygnets, these little baby mallards stole the show. Don't worry. I have plenty of cygnet shots too!

I'm happy to report that the original six are growing and cruising around with their mother. The other nesting couple apparently only had one egg hatch, but I did spot them with their little one on the other side of the lake.
