Long road trips are blessed with the "Oooo, that looks neat!" factor, meaning we spontaneously jam to the side of the road and jump out of the car with cameras, climb down steep banks, and shoot fast-moving rivers. Here I was experimenting with my ND Cokin while Dad and Ocediis waited ever so patiently (again).
The traders have outgrown the normal market in this small town 60 kms. west of Bangkok and have extended outside on ground through which runs the main line from the capital. Suddenly, awnings are folded back, their goods which are trolleys with wheels pushed back and the train comes through. No sooner has it passed when everthing is put back into place!
From the top of the viewing scaffolding. The tiny white lights are little solar lights that are scattered among the structures. I saw them on my last day visit, but didn't really pay much attention to them.

Since Sam and Nik have already flown their kite all over the ranch, it needs repairs immediately upon arrival at the beach. Sam doesn't want to wait another moment, and drops to the ground as soon as he's out of the car. Note that the kite actually is pretty invisible. Unfortunately they couldn't find clear duct (or electrical) tape.
