Just a quick post today. I managed to put my little guinea pig down long enough to make a kiddie hat. ;-)
It's a ribbon and wool yarn and was very easy to work with.
Now I'm back to pattern writing and this tote bag I'm making. It may take a while to finish because I may have made it a bit big. Shall see! :-)
Next time I post, you'll all get to see my 10 year old's new pet! He wants a rat. I thought it would be better for an active boy to have a less timid pet than a guinea pig. It's just their dang tails that creep me out! We researched it online and everything, so we'll be bringing a rat into our home soon. Never thought I'd say that! Lol

the front saw blade of the log bike had a tendency to drop chain every now and again. this is fair, as there was a lot of chain to worry about.
The scanner im using sucks, either that or i draw too lightly :(
none of the light lines show up on the sketch and her right eye is wonky, only noticed that the day after i drew it.
unagi, fried egg with ketchup, edamame, over a bed of rice sprinkled with furikake. :) I think I could have gone with the ketchup, but I wanted to make a heart. :P

The Hummingbirds were out feeding at my parent's place this afternoon when we were there for dinner. Not sure how many there were exactly but there had to be at least 5 or 6. Amazing to watch these little guys as they swoop and zoom around and then hover before landing for a quick drink. I was able to get 'lots' of shots so there may be more in the coming weeks... :-)
