I didn't see this shot for several years; it was a misfire of the camera (a Minolta Dimage) and I realized I liked it and thought maybe a little work in Photoshop would bring out the shadows of the tools on the workbench.
Addision was a very quick study. She bypassed the syringe pretty quickly and even did not snap her jaws at the spoon... she immediately went for the good stuff.
Playing around with zooming while shooting today. Kind of a cool effect. Certainly not for everyday use, but makes for a neat break from the standard.

One of those days when I feel like cooking from leftovers. Well, this was incredibly quick and so good! ;-)
A little bit of onion, 1 slice of bacon, frozen corn, dried thyme, chicken broth, frozen shrimp leftover... (no extra salt or other seasoning), at the end maybe 1/3 cup whipping cream mixed with a bit of flower to thicken up the sauce slightly. I have added some frozen chopped parsley I had in the freezer as well. Micrograte some parmesan cheese and a little bit of lemon zest... Serve on spagnetti... Wow - super fast and so good! ;-)
A recipe for risotto that doesn't involve a half-hour of stirring gets my attention. Lisa McKinney of Fairmount felt the same way. A lunchtime special - beansprouts, shredded yellow pepper, carrot and cabbage were quickly stir fried along with Tianjin preserved vegetable, chili bean paste, and a splosh of rice wine, and then brought to the boil in a pan of chicken stock.
Quick hack. Detects low/high/normal water level and indicates it using 3 LEDs. I didn't calculate any resistor values, pure trial and error. Some of these just work as inverters, so the LEDs light up in the right way.
