On Dalhousie Street I think. The school milk (or maybe tesco metros) fell off the back of the van and burst open. Milk Slick. Quick- the Frosties!
I had to go to the Island for the day for a brainstorming meeting. Since it was a there-and-back day, I opted to fly rather than ferry. The float plane never gets old.

Grabbed some quick shots of all the cats, to check out my hubby's camera. We had it put away, because he discovered a dead pixel in the videos he tried filming with it. We meant to get it repaired, but forgot about it for a while. Today, I wanted to see where that dead pixel was on the screen... And, lo and behold, NO dead pixel, on still photos! Ha!
So, some decent quality shots of kittens, as hubby's Canon DSLR is a better camera than mine.:D
A speedy light gunship utilized by Imperial forces on many planets. It was well-suited to the climate of the planet.

An old man returning home after collecting his paper, no doubt, normally has to negotiate the hustle and bustle of the Saturday traffic. Today, thanks to the planned English Defence League demonstration, and Unite Against Fascism counter-demonstration, all traffic was blocked off from the town centre.
For this week's installment of my concentration, I focused on one of the largest sports currently played in America: football. This was a sport that was hiding in plain sight for me throughout this process, and I'm glad I finally got the chance to document this impressive athletic feat. My model, Noah Pittenger, and I met at the grass field adjacent to the Brophy football field to run some drills, and more importantly, take some photos. After warm ups and the arrival of our quarterback, Caleb Moore, we were ready to start. With my tripod and remote set up and my camera settings set and on burst mode, I had Noah run some quick slants and catch passes as I fired away shots. I finally had the desired batch after 5-6 trials and began editing. In editing, I layered and masked all of the photos together in Photoshop, and then in Lightroom was able to crop, adjust colors, and add whites and highlights to Noah to make him pop from the scene.
I believe this photo fits into my concentration by using a series of images layers together into one composite image to show the progression of an athletic action. Although this is an altered reality shown in the image, the action did actually occur. This photo uses colors, space, and perceived motion to create an altogether aesthetic image.

Kyleakin taking a quick break while enjoying play time with me in the garden, while on holiday in the Vale of Lune Cumbria.
While lying on the grass, camera in one hand, I had to wrestle the toy from her with my free hand and fling it over my head across the garden, before getting into position to take a photo as she charged back to me for another go. I'm not sure who was more exhausted afterwards.
