Pictures of the the Vanarama National League North clash at The Impact Arena between Alfreton Town & Darlington.
The game finished in a 1-1 draw in front of 727.
Quakers took the lead on 8 minutes. Styche put the Alfreton left back under pressure, the defender slipped and Styche ran into the box and coolly fired across the keeper into the net. Styche ran 80 yards to celebrate in front of the Darlo fans. it looked like Darlo might hang on to 3 crucial points until an injury time altercation in Darlo penalty area resulted i nthe dismissal of on loan custodian Taklbot and a penalty to the home side which was dispatched without delay.
THe penaltwas at the far end and in the bets Arsen Wenger style I didnt see the incident.
This point means Darlo remain in the rlegation zone a point form safety but they have stopped the recent rot. Things need to impriove. Quickly.
After he said that, I whipped up this quick hat to go with the dress. It would've been better if I had piping instead of ribbon, but not bad for a <1hour project using materials I already had. And now I think I may have been bitten by the hat-making bug.
Actual finished video is too long for flickr so please view it here :

Shot at intervals of approx 9.5 seconds, from approx 9:30 - 5:30, using my picaxe-based intervalometer (photo), on a Pentax K100D with Pentax-M 28mm prime lens and Raynox X.66 HD wide-angle adapter.
2800+ images were shot, and recorded in-camera as 4MP JPGs. Imported into lightroom and batch-adjusted for exposure, fill light, and special effect (toning + vignette).
Exported as high-quality JPGs, 1024 pixels high (for some reason), and loaded into Quicktime 7 Pro, then exported as a high quality h.264 MP4 at about 8 or 10 FPS (can't remember).
Loaded into iMovie 09 and split up into individual 'scenes', then transitions and title added. Music overlaid and sound effects added. Exported as HD h.264 MP4 (330Mb) and uploaded to vimeo.
Day 181 of 365: "Quick Pic"
I was trying to take a picture of Katie's new "Tin Man" or "Spaceman" shoes (Seriously...they're silver...they just don't look right to me!), when she plopped herself down in my lap and said "Daddy, take a picture of us."
So...here it is.
I watched this Vegan Break and had to try it! I couldn't remember what all she said to get but remembered bagels, something hummus-y and sprouts. But thought I'd try these microgreens. I'll do sprouts next time.
Trader Joe's:
Whole wheat bagels: 2.29 for 6
Microgreens, organic: 3.99
Baba Ghannouj Eggplant Dip: 2.99 (4 1/4 cup servings)
Roma tomato: free (counter rescue)
Toasted bagel. Used 1/4 cup of the dip. Way too much. Handful of microgreens, washed. Sliced roma tomato. Only about 2 slices fit on it though.
Very good.
.75 (dip) + .38 (bagel) + .79 (greens)* = 1.92
* guessed the little container will yield 5 of this sized serving but could be more.
Found a head and managed to unsnarl the hair. Malibu T was right, the straightening iron did wonders (but I still haven't tidied up the little stragglers). This is just the straight iron, no curlers were used. :-)

"Quick, nobody's looking," the Helmeted Guinea Fowl seem to say to each other as they tip-toe across the lawn with picnickers at Kirstenbosch Gardens, Cape Town. These wild birds are actually fairly used to human company.
In Lyttelton on a day trip around the city with a Flickr friend May 9, 2015 Christchurch New Zealand.
Lyttelton (Māori: Ōhinehou) is a port town on the north shore of Lyttelton Harbour, at the north-western end of Banks Peninsula and close to Christchurch, on the eastern coast of the South Island of New Zealand.
Due to its establishment as a landing point for Christchurch-bound seafarers, Lyttelton has historically been regarded as the "Gateway to Canterbury" for colonial settlers.
The 2010 Canterbury earthquake damaged some of Lyttelton's historic buildings, including the Timeball Station.[16] There was some damage to the town's infrastructure, but the port facilities and tunnel quickly returned to operation. The overall quake damage was less significant than in Christchurch itself, due to the dampening effects of the solid rock that the town rests on and its moderate distance from the epicentre.[citation needed]
On 22 February 2011 a magnitude 6.3 aftershock caused much more widespread damage in Lyttelton than its predecessor due to its proximity to Lyttelton and a shallow depth of 5 kilometres (3.1 mi). Some walls of the Timeball Station collapsed and there was extensive damage to residential and commercial property, leading to the demolition of a number of high-profile heritage buildings such as the Harbour Light Theatre and the Empire Hotel. Many other unreinforced masonry buildings were severely damaged.

Cheated like a bastard and traced this one. Boo. May do it again. Properly. Talia's eye's gone all wonky, too.
after a quick clean it appeared that although the old battery had burst all over the place it hadn't caused any damage
I tested the electronics with a battery on a couple of croc clips, all seemed good so this is just a straight battery conversion
locate the 3 screws (the middle one retains the metal clip that keeps the cover closed) and remove them and set aside
