Tickets for the Petronas Twin Towers in KL are available from 8:30am. They're doled out on a first-come, first-serve basis. This was at 8:45am – by the time I got to the front of the queue, I had scored a ticket for the 3:30pm viewing (it's very popular!)
Usually I get to Symphony Under the Sky by either catching a ride with friends who work and volunteer at the festival, or I take the ETS shuttle. However, for Friday's concert the gentleman and I had sorted out a somewhat convoluted plan whereby he would be dropping me off early so I could take photos of the lineup to get inside, then he would be heading off to do some errand and then would walk to the park through the river valley. Of course he had to work late, which meant we just went straight to the park a little bit later than I had planned for me (and a little bit earlier than he had expected for him). The only trouble is that when you drive to Symphony Under the Sky you have to wait in the really long queue to get out of the park. So instead of sitting in the car not moving, we waited on the grass instead and enjoyed the delightful summer night.
This might take sometime.
When the pilot announces they are awaiting advice from the Technical Team, and the plane sits there at the end of a taxi for quite some time, you start to think that you might end up back at the gate...
...but it all ended OK and off we went.
September 19, 2008 (Friday) - We had to wait in line to enter the gallary to see 'David'. This was about the only morning of the three weeks when we saw any rain.

Batongas queueing to see Dr.Harry Knight. Goitre was a common ailment dur to a lack of iodene in their diet. Salt was the best trade material one could have.
The lineup for their daily meal circled the entire building. And I didn't witness any shoving.
When they all gorged themselves, we tucked into the leftovers. It was pure nirvana.
Being in a school party we got a full tour and didn't have to queue up to get to the dome. These people were almost in but the line was even longer!
Queueing up outside the fancydress and party store for their halloween costumes and masks. Years ago over here in the UK there was no halloween day celebrations but now it is a big thing like it is in the USA we always seem to follow America in these things like Levi jeans and coca cola in the 50's to name but a few.
