Andalusia (/ˌændəˈluːsiə, -ziə, -ʒə/; Spanish: Andalucía [andaluˈθi.a]) is an autonomous community in southern Spain. It is the most populous and the second largest in area of the autonomous communities in the country. The Andalusian autonomous community is officially recognised as a "historical nationality". The territory is divided into eight provinces: Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga and Seville. Its capital is the city of Seville (Spanish: Sevilla).
Andalusia is in the south of the Iberian peninsula, in south-western Europe, immediately south of the autonomous communities of Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha; west of the autonomous community of Murcia and the Mediterranean Sea; east of Portugal and the Atlantic Ocean; and north of the Mediterranean Sea and the Strait of Gibraltar. Andalusia is the only European region with both Mediterranean and Atlantic coastlines. The small British overseas territory of Gibraltar shares a three-quarter-mile land border with the Andalusian province of Cádiz at the eastern end of the Strait of Gibraltar.
The main mountain ranges of Andalusia are the Sierra Morena and the Baetic System, consisting of the Subbaetic and Penibaetic Mountains, separated by the Intrabaetic Basin. In the north, the Sierra Morena separates Andalusia from the plains of Extremadura and Castile–La Mancha on Spain's Meseta Central. To the south the geographic subregion of Upper Andalusia lies mostly within the Baetic System, while Lower Andalusia is in the Baetic Depression of the valley of the Guadalquivir.
The name "Andalusia" is derived from the Arabic word Al-Andalus (الأندلس) The toponym al-Andalus is first attested by inscriptions on coins minted in 716 by the new Muslim government of Iberia. These coins, called dinars, were inscribed in both Latin and Arabic. The etymology of the name "al-Andalus" has traditionally been derived from the name of the Vandals; however, a number of proposals since the 1980s have challenged this contention. Halm in 1989 derived the name from a Gothic term, *landahlauts, and in 2002, Bossong suggested its derivation from a pre-Roman substrate. The region's history and culture have been influenced by the native Iberians, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Greeks, Romans, Vandals, Visigoths, Byzantines, Jews, Romani, Muslim Moors and the Castilian and other Christian North Iberian nationalities who reconquered and settled the area in the latter phases of the Reconquista.

Depeche Mode - Where's the Revolution
Depeche Mode are an English electronic band that formed in 1980 in Basildon, Essex. The group consists of founders Dave Gahan (lead vocals, occasional songwriter since 2005), Martin Gore (guitar, keyboards, vocals, main songwriter since 1982), and Andy Fletcher (keyboards, bass guitar). Depeche Mode released their debut album Speak & Spell in 1981, bringing the band onto the British new wave scene. Original band member Vince Clarke (keyboards, guitar, main songwriter from 1980 to 1981), left the band after the release of the album, leaving the band as a trio to record A Broken Frame, released the following year. Gore took over the lead songwriting duties and, later in 1982, Alan Wilder (keyboards, drums, bass guitar, occasional songwriter) officially joined the band to fill Clarke's spot, establishing a line up that would continue for the next 13 years. Depeche Mode have been a trio again since 1995, when Wilder left.

This is a photograph from the annual Ardagh Moydow Glen Community Games 5KM and 10 Mile road races, fun runs, walks and challenges which were held in the heritage village of Ardagh, Co. Longford, Ireland on Tuesday 27th December 2016 at 13:00. This year's race featured some changes from previous years: the introduction of chip timing, a new start and finish in the middle of the village at the community center and, a slightly amended route.

The 10 mile race takes in the local 'Ardagh Mountain' which is a 1 mile continuous climb starting at the 2.5 mile mark of the 10 mile race. The 5KM race takes a loop around the heritage village of Ardagh. Overall this is a very well organised race with accurate courses, good marshalling and traffic control and excellent after race refreshments. The 10 mile race is one of the longest road races held during the Christmas period anywhere in Ireland and has appeal to runners who want to add a longer distance race to their festive calendar of running.
The weather at this year's race was much more suitable to road racing. In 2014 there was very frosty icy weather and last year in 2015 participants were given a very very windy day with heavy rain at the finish of both races.
Ardagh is probably County Longford's most picturesque village with many historical and architecturally important features. It is located about 6 miles from Longford town.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. Sun 4 July 2010 - McDonalds Open Football Day, Hartsdown Sports and Leisure Centre, Playing Fields, Hartsdown Park, Margate. - The Event was organized by McDonald's Thanet Franchisee Paul Crocker and Thanet Colts FC Youth Team. In 2009 Paul's Westwood Restaurant was twinned with Thanet Colts in order to improve Grassroots football in and around thanet. Former Spurs and Arsnenal star and World Cup goalkeeping legend Pat Jennings who played in the 1982 and 1986 tournaments for Northern Ireland was the guest of honour. Eric Harrison, McDonald's Head Coach and Manchester United's legendary former youth week was also present. - Pat Jennings and Eric Harrison at the Question and answer session with Paul Crocker looking on. - Pat throws the ball back to the crowd after demonstrating he can still catch it with one hand.
The 'Mesdames de Mayhem' are a club of female mystery writers -- short stories, novels, and television scripts -- and are a lot of fun to know. John Thompson has become sort of a go-to resource for many of them for questions about firearms and weaponry; particularly as many of them have never fired a firearm and know little about them. This has led to a one-time 'Mystery Writers Shoot' to be hosted by the RCMI-PC on May 9th on Borden -- the day before our own scheduled shoot of May 10th.
The mystery writers will provide lunch (guaranteed not to have any us turn green and start frothing) and about 10 of them are expected.
John Thompson will be the RSO, but we need volunteers and their firearms for one-on-one coaching on the firing line at Borden. Some ammunition will be from club stocks and the Ladies will be paying to defray the price of ammunition.
The day begins at 0930 on Bay 5. Safety brief, get 'eyes and ears' matched to guests. We'll set up with the normal Figure 11s.
0945: Short talk and display of:
a) a muzzle-loading black powder firearm (assuming some member brings one)
b) a double-barrelled shotgun
b) a bolt-action rifle,
c) a lever-action rifle.
d) a pump-action shotgun.
e) a semi-automatic rifle.
f) a single-action revolver
g) a double-action revolver
h) a semi-automatic pistol.
-- Each demonstration will be short, and will allow the ladies to see how the firearm functions and is loaded. This will be under control of the RSO; once dry with the weapon pointed at the berm, then turn, and once live into a target.
10:30ish One on one shooting (editor's note:I think John means shooting on a one-on-one supervised basis... I hope that's what he means). Members will lay one or two of the weapons they bring with their ammunition on the firing line and let the ladies shoot under close supervision. We'll do our usual relays and keep each relay short (two mags) and then clear and patch targets and let the next relay come up.
We need a variety of historic and significant firearms for this -- especially if they are well known to the general public.
Bay 5 is licensed for the usual pistols plus rifles up to 5.56mm/0.223, so no big bad rifles but carbines, shotguns, and pistols are needed. If you want to bring something heavier to show, please do. We can show it, but we can't shoot it on Bay 5. The ladies tend to be 'mature' and very few have ever shot anything before, so be guided accordingly.
After lunch we'll do a novelty shoot for prizes for the ladies. Quite possibly we'll let them keep their illusions about our own eagle-eyed marksmanship, or maybe reserve one prize for RCMI-PC members.
This project centred around a project called Place in Question. We were given an area of Esher Sixth Form College and we had to make a piece of art inspired by it. I chose to make a ferocious mask that when I moved my jaw it snapped as well, I filled it will cut tin, shattered glass and cigarette butts to add the representation of a college atmosphere and the need to put up an angsty mask in self defence. I received full marks on this project and I was thrilled with the results. It proved that my engineering skills could intertwine with my creative bubble.

The Tomb of King Kongmin, more correctly known as the Hyŏnjŏngrŭng Royal Tomb, is a 14th-century mausoleum located in Haeson-ri, Kaepung-gun near Kaesŏng, North Korea.
The site consists of two separate burial mounds, which contain the remains of Gongmin, the 31st ruler of the Goryeo Dynasty, and his wife, the Mongolian princess Queen Noguk. Nominated for World Heritage statues, it is one of the best preserved royal tombs in North Korea which remains in its original state, having avoided extensive "restoration" under the Communist government.

Back Ground
National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) was established in July, 2001 as a federal statutory body. It is a fast-track initiative to improve social sector outcomes at the grass-roots. The goal of the Commission is to fill the implementation gaps and improve public sector delivery mechanisms to achieve the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) through:
Universal Primary Education (UPE)
Adult Literacy / Gender Empowerment Program
Reducing Population Growth Rate
Improving Infant & Maternal Mortality
Capacity Building at Grassroots
NCHD has been officially declared as lead agency for the spread of literacy programs in the country by the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The 2006 UNESCO International Reading Association Literacy Prize has been awarded to NCHD for its National Literacy Program.
Visit of Mr. Pervaiz Lodhi – Member PHDF
Mr. Pervaiz lodhie a distinguished member of PHDF visited Malala Feeder School on 7th March 2015 alongwith his team and the Worthy Director operations Sindh Humaira Hashimi Sahiba. The team arrived at Malala feeder school at about 12.00noon. A warm welcome was given to the distinguished guests. The students from Malala wrapped in school uniform give a salute the honourable guests and offered flowers to the guests. Thrown rose petals in a queue to the head Masters room.
Where Mr. Moti lal – Head Master briefed the honourable guests about the back ground and the efforts taken for establishment of such a wonderful building through donations. He elaborated that besides donors the I-care, PHDF, Mir Ghulam Ali Talpur and the chairman usher and zakat the children are continuously supporting the school by making donations from their pocket money, which were a unique contribution and the idea for construction of malala feeder school. They started the school with the number of 25 children only but now after hectic efforts and continuous work hard the number has raised to 455. At the movement 5 Feeder teachers are placed while 3 other teachers are voluntarily putting their time and efforts.
Then the guests visited each class room one by one, where two children from each class presented rose flowers to the guests. The guest asked many questions about the education, the attitude of the teachers and their satisfaction from the school and learning land marks. Checked and found whole the school very neat and clean.
A gathering of parents of children was also arranged in the school, after visiting class rooms the honourable guests moved toward the stage where function started with the recitation of holy Quran. A student of class three Ghulam Rasool recited from Holy Quran.
Naat Maqbool (PBHM) was presented by three female students namely Huma Naz, Mehmoona, Nayab and Iqra
Mr. Pervaiz lodhi – member PHDF said in his address that PHDF put a unique idea of public and private partnership and have proved that by collective efforts Pakistan can meet the desired goals and objectives especially in the field of education. He called a meeting with stake holder and the private sector yesterday and will be meet with the honourable minister and PHDF members in Pakistan to contribute on their part in the uplift of NCHD and the objective of Education and literacy in Pakistan. He thinks that it is only NCHD which has office in every district of the Pakistan and grass root approach. He will try a funding and the support of Pakistanis in America and bring some good news as well. He is himself contacting various philanthropists and groups in this regard also. Insha Allah we will bring a positive change in Pakistan and continue our mission. He appreciated the innovative idea for construction of Malala school building. He also suggested that he will show the movie to the father of Malala who is visiting America in coming month.

The questions were difficult, because I wanted to answer honestly. Was it nice? Yes. Were we going to get married? No. Would we see each other again? I hoped so. Did I love him? I paused a bit too long over that one. Yes, definitely, but perhaps not the way she imagined. I was finding it hard to work it out myself. He was special, the right special, and she'd know about that one day.

Yesterday, myself, Marian (abstract_effects), Rob (Rob Hudson) and Sandeah (Sandeah Lynch) went for a little adventure to the Mid-Wales Asylum in Talgarth.
When we got there, Sandeha managed to persuade the site-manager to let us take pictures around the outside of the site.
Had we have not listened to the site manager and actually gone in, this might have been one of the shots I might have taken ;P

A force de lectures, recherches, formations, j’ai voulu améliorer ma façon d’accompagner mes enfants, mettre du sens à mes ressentis, mes émotions, mes réactions de parent. J’ai rencontré Catherine Dumonteil Kremer, reçu de l’écoute, fais du lien avec mon histoire d’enfant, repris confiance en mes compétences de parents, confirmé mes intuitions grâce aux neurosicences, trouvé des outils concrets pour un quotidien plus serein avec mes enfants… J’ai ainsi développé encore et encore ma vision globale pour l’humain sur la terre. Mon envie de changer le monde, toujours là, et ayant essayé plusieurs portes d’entrée… Pour moi, toutes les portes d’entrée sont importantes et à pousser en même temps… Mais celle que j’ai choisie et qui, je trouve, sera très efficace à long terme… Pour demain… C’est la voie du soutien à la parentalité… pour changer de regard sur les enfants.

When questioned by Senator Cantwell, Exxon Mobil Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Rex Tillerson (not pictured) said that oil should cost between $60 and $70 per barrel, if the price of oil were based on supply and demand fundamentals. Oil was trading at $98 per barrel on Thursday morning, after plunging 5.5 percent yesterday.
