Self portraits of my days in quarantine.
Probably one of my favorite pics ever.
April, 2020.
Back from a deployment, and maintaining social distancing, went to one of my goto spots to explore, and stay away from people. Don't forget to like the image.
The second IC SD70 on the roster still wearing its sleek paint and stripes (minus the yellow reflectors) idles her train up to the Homewood platform. CN L515

Could you imagine a few weeks ago a society and world as it is now? No going out, no meeting in a café, no shopping, no university, no easter with big family gettogether, no concerts, no friends, no social life. A government that tells us when and why we are allowed to leave our house. I couldn't. Especially not in Europe. I think it is kinda frightening how this liberty and freedom, our society and normal life was gone within a few days. On the other hand I think we can be really proud how it worked to safe our grandparents, neighbours and ourselves.
I hope the restrictions will be suspended soon because I think it is importnat for the mental health as well as for the economy. But I am afraid that the virus will start to spread again, if so. It is a balancing act and I hope our governments will master it.
