Q-Tip previews Renaissance at an in-store performance in DC on 9.30.08. Album in stores on November 4!
Use these reusable Q-tips to help keep the environment clean. The reusable cotton Q-tips are gentle enough to use on fragile body parts such as the head, behind the eyes, and so on. They can be used to remove makeup, mud, and grease, among other things.https://www.qieco.co
We have a jar on the vanity with qtips. Don't want to admit how many rejected shots I had in order to get this one.
The overall concept of the piece is about breaking free from what is safe and comfortable and being open to new beginnings and possibilities.
Since the nest is an object that nurtures new life, it represents new beginnings. QTips were chosen as the material for the nest because it is a personal care item that we use to take care of ourselves or others. The locker represents the barrier that we put up to keep our feelings, life, and everything personal locked up inside. Since the door to the locker has been broken off, it shows a desire to be open or to break free from what is safe. The fact that the nest is suspended in mid-air represents the uncertainty that comes with new beginnings. It is usually a time when we are more vulnerable and more dependent. Perhaps the absence of life in the nest alludes to that the new life has already broken free from what is safe and embarked on a new beginning.
So how do you interpret this piece? :)
