I keep my Qtips in a beautiful old blue Ball canning jar. A little back lighting brought out the color in the embossed name.

This young lady was interested in my camera and she mentioned that her late Grandfather had a similar styled camera. We spoke for several minutes and afterward, she agreed to having her picture taken.
Image captured with a recently acquired Yashica D TLR, circa 1964, on long expired (07/1997) TMax 400 film. Self-developed with HC110 semi-stand for one hour.
I almost passed on this camera at an Estate Sale last week, due to a stuck shutter. I figured I could at least attempt to get it going so I picked it up. A few minutes after getting it home I had the front and rear lens elements off and carefully cleaned the shutter with a Qtip and lighter fluid. After a few light brushes with the Qtip the shutter started working. I was very pleased with this outcome and very pleased with this first roll through the camera.
Argh. This is the third time I've screwed up a 365. I find this slightly amusing that I can't even do something every single day for a year. Truth be told, I knew I couldn't see it through. Work gets too much for me, in the sense that I end up telling myself I'm going to work my contracted hours and end up doing around 60 hours a week and have to fit sleeping, eating and my boyfriend in there somewhere so the camera gets left in the corner of my room instead of constantly by my side.
Yeah.

This charmer with the kind of pug-like face is a crab spider known as Xysticus audax (no common English name).
I found it (I think it's a female) looking very slow and tired on my patio and figured she perhaps was thirsty.
This was solved by dipping a Q-tip in water and offering her which she as you can see drank eagerly from.
