This painting was done using Qtips & Sponges. It took me about 15 hours to get it the way that I wanted. Message me for more info on it and it's for sale if you want to add it to your collection!

October 15, 2015 - It's funny how we use brand names instead of item descriptor, maybe we do it more here in Canada, I'm not sure.
<3 Qtip
you got to feel it within your body and your spirit, when you listen to the rhythm.
I rushed this so I appologize for how it came out.
First you will want to wet the application area with a wet qtip.
I apply one side of the decal first and then wrap it around the foot.
Next I use the wet qtip to ress the decal onto the foot and the top of the foot.
As you can see I had a problem with the outside of the left leg, usually you just have to move it around to line it up again.
Dont do what I did and rush the application but dont take too long either, you dont want the glue to try on the decal before it is applied.
Hope this helps.
or am i?
This week's challenge in Project SoulPancake is called Art at Arm's Reach. It goes a little something like this:
Step One:
Scavenge around your desk, barstool, couch cushions for anything handy. And we mean anything: paper clips, poker chips, fake eyelashes, junk mail, bullet casings.
Step two: Create art
This one stumped me because I am not artistic at all. I am in the way I see and compose my photos, but I cannot draw, paint, make stuff and im in no way "crafty". I wish I was, but the truth is: I ain't. At all. I make stick figures look bad.
So, I was like, "arrghh! i cannot do this!" and so I did something simple. And really - the only thing I can draw or create is hearts. And this is good because - yes, this is gonna be soooo cheesy - I just want to spread the love. If i see a really dirty truck? I will lick my finger and draw a heart in the dust. Today I left a red pipe cleaner in the shape of a heart hanging from a fence at the softball field, I endlessly draw them in the sand. If someone sees it and smiles? Then I am happy. Even If I don't know.

And because this was an art themed project, this has been playing in my head.

I blended the first few layers of water using a Qtip and rubbing alcohol. I was pleased that the alcohol worked. It probably has a shorter working time than turpentine, but it's less toxic.
I was ecstactic that I had finally found inspiration for the latest weekly theme on Looking Close... on Friday! -- "Reflection on Black". But then I realized that my inspiration had come 24 hours too late! Still, I thought this was too good not to share somewhere.
it used to be that there were a few grey hairs mixed in amongst the black, now it is the absolute opposite
After seeing parts of the very first all-purpose digital computer ever (1946) in Washington, DC and in Mountain View, CA, I was excited to see a large part of it at the very location where it was built, i.e. at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, at the Moore School of Electrical Engineering, where some nice people guided me through security to enable me to worship ENIAC while a couple of its geriatric nurses were giving it a thorough cleaning...
None of the knobs go to eleven, by the way...;-)

I did not do much to this shot. I fixed the white balance because I have not mastered how to do that on my camera before I take the pic.
Why am I taking a HBW in my bathroom?
Because I did not to my deep cleaning on Monday like I usually do and so I did it today. I clean my bathroom last and started to worry I would not get a HBW shot in today. I thought "What the heck, take one in here!"
You will notice a couple of things.
I love Philosophy products.
I have not cleaned the bath today!
My bathroom is purple.
I have two bottles of "hope is not enough".
Have a great day!

This Tangent 4750 is from their last run with ICG, this was once a nice shiny out of the box car with a perfect paint job and I ruined it some will say^ For aging the factory lettering I used the Microsol trick with Qtips and an Exacto blade.
I did very little to this car in the way of details as with my other Tangent cars, I used Sergent couplers, my own custom hand bent cut levers (lift bars to people in the south), replaced the brake wheel with a Kadee wheel and used Tangent 36" code .88 wheels. I faded the car down then used pan pastels for the majority of the weathering and Pigma Micron08 pens for small items. These are time consuming cars to weather but well worth the time it takes.
