The Pyramids of Giza. From the left: The Great Pyramid, Pyramid of Khufu; Pyramid of Khafre; Pyramid of Menkaure. Contrary to the common belief, only the Great Pyramid of Khufu, not all three Pyramids, is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
Florence absolutely DESTROYED her headlining gig. As Nancy said, we watched her level up. One of my favourite 2 or 3 performances of the whole festival.
You can just make out the fence in the background. The view was great and being woken up to the first band was very cool.
After we reached Reno, we decided to take the road up to Pyramid Lake. We were told it was about 35 miles north. "Can't miss it". Obviously so. This lake is on a Piute Indian Reservation in Nevada. It is famous for large cutthroat trout. Fishing is by permit only.

The pyramid was built about 18 BC–12 BC as a tomb for Gaius Cestius, a magistrate and member of one of the four great religious corporations in Rome.
besides well preserved Chephren I went into Cheops central cavern (very humid and warm but nice Reverb). tried to climb it but had a dispute with a "guide"
While Memphis was the capital of Ancient Egypt, Saqqara served as its necropolis. Although it was eclipsed as the burial ground of royalty by Giza and later by the Valley of the Kings in Thebes (Luxor), it remained an important complex for minor burials and cult ceremonies for more than 3,000 years, well into Ptolemaic and Roman times. The step pyramid at Saqqara was designed by Imhotep for King Djoser (c.2667-2648 BC). It is the oldest complete hewn-stone building complex known in history.
