Simon Vogt uploaded a pylon shot like this a couple of days ago. It must have been playing on my mind because when I walked past this pylon I couldn't resist walking underneath.

Same electricity pylon as the previous post but from a different perspective. Just shows how a slight change in angle/composition can give an image a completely different look.

A view across the Irwell valley near Ringley. If you turn to the right the view is far more rural all the way to the Moors beyond Holcombe.

It is one of the nicest looking pylons ever. However standing under the power lines wasn't too pleasant, they buzzed constantly. There is the Chinon Power Station visible on the horizon to the left of the pylon.
