X-bracing is a building term for a technique of spreading the load to adjoining structural elements, usually to the outer load bearing surfaces/walls.
I took this because I liked the lines, angles and patterns. Today I spotted the cross-bracing, and on checking it out, discovered the x-bracing term, and just what I needed for a composition.
I've noticed that the composition is very X like too.
