for utata's pyjama day.
this was actually after I'd already gotten up and gone to practice....since it's a holiday, though, we didn't start until 7am, so it was almost like lounging about!
Part of the International Women's Day Celebration
Pyjama Party Parade!
---
The organizers behind the rally said this about the parade in their announcement:
"Wake up and smell the oppression!
This is a celebration of women and feminism: Let's get on our jammies and tell people to wake up! Get on your costumes, radical cheerleading boots and skirts, bring instruments, chants, cheers, signs, banners--its a combo celebration/popular education."
Found in Bala, Wales, UK.
Now that this shop has closed down, people in Bala go to bed naked. However, that is only a tiny change because obviously they were already used to sleeping without pyjama trousers.
Pyjama sea slug (chromodoris quadricolor) tattoo I illustrated for a scuba diver who's a big fan of marine life! The first one of this species I've tattooed, and it's turned out great - very colourful creature! :)
It's important to do a lot of visual research for tattoos like this, to ensure you illustrate a creature in its correct environment and to find the correct markings and body texture.
About nudibranch (sea slugs):
I have childhood memories as a toddler and my mum, when she needed to get me ready for bed, saying "Sooooo big" as she put her arms up in the air. Immediately I'd copy her, arms up high and giggling, and with that she'd slip my pyjama top on right over my head and down my arms. Sneaky but it worked :-) For some reason I feel like this flower is also stretching upwards, hence the title.

Pyjama shark (Striped Cat shark) of about 70 cm – Endemic to the coastal waters of South Africa.
Hoping to get a few better shots of these guys over the next few days.

From Wikipedia "University of Sheffield [and from the poly too] students used to raise funds by taking part in the Pyjama Jump pub crawl, cross-dressed only in nightwear in mid-winter: the men often dressed in nighties or in drag featuring mini-skirts and fishnet tights, and the women in pyjamas" It was banned in 1997 due to safety considerations.
I only went once I was wearing a blue nightshirt with leggings underneath on my feet were monkey boots - no chance of me getting hypothermia. I copped off with a lad from my course who was wearing a lime green nightie and a very unbecoming shade of red lipstick. I went out with him for 3 years.
