Definetly one of my favourite collections! ^_^
Nephew P* (8 years old then) almost ready for bed in his He-Man & Battle Cat PJ's. Shot in November 1988.
Round two of this vicious fight saw Captain Enormo peering out from the rump of The Beast. The Beast saw this as the b best opportunity of the match to claim rights as the champion of it all. By rhymically thumping his posterior on Captain Enormo, The Beast was able to subdue the deathly serious Twister move about to be attempted by The Captain. Seriously injured, the Captain had but a few seconds before mounting his defense...(to be continued...)
I love this pyjama my wife made for Prozac09. And the embroidery in front just perfectly represents his favorite bunny lovey he can't sleep without. So I thought it was about time to set up a little more professional photoshooting.
Strobist Info: 580 EXII in front of him pointing up, half power, white reflector card out. Behind him 420 EZ full power into the white wall behind him. He himself is standing on white foamboard.
In post-processing I replaced the background for a more professional yet artificial one.

In Dutch our Graphosoma lineatum italicum has a nicer name than merely Red and Black Striped Shieldbug; it's called a Pyjama Kever. Although I don't recall as a boy having red-and-black striped PJs; they were always in blues. But perhaps PJs in The Netherlands are different.
Anyway, there I was again in that marvelous nature reserve Tussen de Venen to the east of Groningen. This time in great luxury because a friend synonymous with the name of the Archangel Michael took me there in the comfort of his car.
PJ-Bug is engorging itself on the plant juices of Wild Angelica, Angelica sylvestris. That plant has been traditionally a boon to mankind suffering from many illnesses brought on by everything from childbirth to the Plague. It's said to have been given us by the Archangel Michael. Apparently it's not only humans that benefit but also a Bug in European (?) PJs.
PS As for the precise determination: look at the hind tibia.
