HMM-- the theme for today, 8/17 is push/pull. found this theme particularly tricky since several of mine were trying to show the push or pull action, which is not easy when simultaneously trying to push the buttons on an iphone ~grin~, so i opted for no action. this may be the best macro of the four and it surprised me to discover that floss was more ribbon-y than thread-y.

Former E&G pushpull stalwart, 27056 (ex 27112) passes the former station at Sinclairtown in Kirkcaldy with 2J53 0920 (Suns) Edinburgh to Dundee stopping service. The station had closed in 1969.
Note the Dunniker maltings of Ballantines Whisky in background with former linen and lino works adjacent. The maltings have since been demolished as have several of the former mills. On the left, Pathhead Parish Church is still in use but minus the ornate cupola.

143 957-9 fährt mit ihrer S9 nach Halle/S in den Nordkopf des Bahnhofes Reußen ein. Viel Herbstatmosphäre in Mitteldeutschland ist in diesem Jahr leider nicht auszumachen, entweder die Bäume sind noch Grün oder durch den letzten Sturm schon vollkommen entlaubt.

Im feinen Abendlicht zeigte sich 143 168-3 vor ihrer S9 nach Halle/S in den Resten des Bahnhofs Krensitz. Alle Neben- und Überholgleise sind abgebunden, DB Netz Effizienz im Jahre 2021.
Last light shines on 143 168-3 with her S9 to Halle/S after a little stopover at the station of Krensitz, or what's left of it after DB Netz did the things they do best.

Almost out of time with the sun, here we see OBB Railjet 1locomotive 1116 242 passing in front of a group of mountains with snow spray working RJ862 to Bregenz. The train was captured in Langkampfen on the cold winters day of the 6/1/17.
1Z45 Fort William to Mallaig. Class 43 LSL HST Midland Pullman set heads over the famous viaduct at Glenfinnan as the first HST set to Mallaig on the West Highland Line.

143 591-6 zieht ihre S9 am Stellwerk "KO" vorbei aus dem Bahnhof Kämmereiforst. Der Bahnhof liegt weit ab vom Schuss und atmet noch den Geist einer lange vergessenen Zeit. DR Aschenbecher an der Wand und ein Geruch als würde gleich eine Dampflok vorbeifahren im Wartesaal muss man erlebt und gesehen haben um im Kreise der S9 Fanatiker mitreden zu können.

27102 & 27201 are heading away with the 10:30 Edinburgh - Glasgow service. 4498 is lurking on the depot, in readiness for working The Tyne Dee Coastal.
The cork is usually pulled out of the bottle but it can also be pushed in when no corkscrew is available (but be careful not to spill the wine...). Of course I obeyed the cork's request and enjoyed the Pinot Grigio after the shooting 😉 HMM! and a happy new week ☀️

143 591-6 zieht ihre S9 nach Halle/S an einem der Klassiker Motive der Strecke Halle - Eilenburg vorbei, die ehemalige Zuckerfabrik von Delitzsch hat schon lange ihre besten Zeiten hinter sich. Zuletzt noch als Biomassekraftwerk im Betrieb wurde es durch einen Neubau ersetzt. Nun verschwindet bei jedem Besuch wieder etwas von dieser letzten Industriekulisse im Delitzscher Raum.

Here we see OBB locomotive 1144 281 passing through the Autumn landscape of Pfarrwerfen in Austria on the afternoon of the 25/10/19. The train was the 09:52 service from Worgl to Salzburg (REX1511).
No Autumn trip to the Austrian Alps for 2020 due to Covid-19.

Class 43 Intercity HST 125 power car in stunning Intercity Executive livery operated by Cross Country Trains heads North on the ECML seen here approaching Prestonpans Station. With the Service running over 40 Minutes late this evening it was a race between train and sunset. Caught here in golden hour with the trees illuminated with the final rays of sun over east Lothian.

the Cessna 337 that I fly....most of the trees alongside the runway were engulfed in flames in the 2015 fire..they were lucky to have saved all the planes and the airport..
