This tiny controller PC board has two connectors (one for power in and one for lights out) and a terminal block. The magnetic or pushbutton switch is attached to the PC board via the two connectors on the terminal block, and two green LEDs indicate power on/off and switch on/off.
I've completely reworked the hadware board. The basics remain the FPGA module Terasic, the DE0-Nano. This board contains a lot of I / O lines and is super fast. Everything is on a single-sided PCB. The output transistor drivers ( 20 pieces 500 mA/ 45V outputs ) are in SMD to save board space. The DE0-nano FPGA board is as a Peggy-back board mounted on ther driver PCB. Via the USB connector, the FPGA program can be re-written.
What does this interface:

Enc1 connector:
2 inputs from a rotary encode frontplate. Used as general digital input value.
Enc2 connector:
2 inputs from a rotary encode frontplate. Used to move the step motor of the lineaire stage module in manual mode.
Range switch input
4 input switches to change the analog sensitivity range of the color pot meters.
Drive of the H-Bridge color shutter module:
- 6 direct FPGA outputs via JP13 and JP17.
Matrix 5X8 keyboard 40 pushbuttons. via JP14 and JP18.
LCD1 display 4X20 chars via JP16.
LCD2 display 4X20 chars via JP15.
4 I/O connectors via JP2 still no assigned function.
Connection via the general GPIO3 connector from the top of the FPGA DE-Nano board.
2x13 pins connected to JP5 and JP6.
8 analog inputs 12 bit resolution via JP8.
- 4 inputs are used for the color setting.
- 1 input used for the stepper speed
- 3 free analog inputs, no function now.
Logic analyser signals:
- 8 levels out the FPGA module via JP3.
Encoder and micro switches from the lineaire stage as feedback position via JP4.

Only 1 die, actually. It "rolls" the die when you shake it. It can roll any of the usual RPG dice, from 4-sided to 20-sided and percentage. The pushbutton selects which type of die to roll. The case is salvaged - it came with a set of earbuds. Inspired by tronixstuff.

Floor level view of the Cheyenne works and the yellow switch stations. Each large hole in the yellow panels has a pushbutton switch on the bottom side to operate one switch on the layout. They are recessed like that so nobody accidentally bumps into one and causes a big problem.
The button to activate the walk signal at this intersection is hidden and INACCESSIBLE behind the fence that's required to seaparate parking lots from the sidewalk. Notice how this sidewalk has ZERO pedestrian access to the parking lot. I guess the developers and the people who approved the design thought that everyone would come in a car.

Opening it reveals the front panel with various pushbuttons, an LCD display and connectors to the X.21 line, a terminal (to log the error data) and HEXTAS (anpther test unit which I do not have). A pocket in the lid holds the user manual and the X.21 cable
The traffic signal pole has two mastarms, the electrical service, Western Systems NEMA TS2-1 stretch M traffic signal cabinet, Alpha Sidemount 6 battery backup, pedestrian indications PTZ camera, two Opticom detectors, and one Polara Navigator APS pedestrian pushbutton.

It is a petrol engined example with auto stop/start. My colleague couldn't get on with this feature - it can be disabled via on dashboard pushbutton.

My sisters friends birthday was coming up and my sister needed a gift.
She saw this nice leather armband online, but I mentioned that with the leatherworking tools I bought half a year ago and wanting to get into leatherworking I could make one for waaaay less.
She agreed, so I visitied three leather shops and got my hands on some real nice scraps of vegetable-tanned leather for next to nothing.
I used a strap cutter tu cut a ~1.3cm wide strip of leather and rounded the ends with rounded end punches, then proceeded to smooth the edges with a nylon edge slicker. After deciding on what text to put where I marked the positions with chalk and used revolver hole punch pliers to make holes for the rivets and pushbuttons. Alphabet punches/stamps were used for the letters.
I dyed the leather with Tandy Leather Eco-Flo Timber Brown, buffed the leather, then applied Fiebing's Mink Oil twice to soften and waterproof the leather. I buffed after each oil application. The oil darkened up the leather a bit more.
Next I sealed the leather with Tandy Leather Eco-Flo Super Shene, applying 4 layers and buffing after each application has dried.
Finally, I set all the rivets and pushbuttons.
I'm pretty pleased with the result, especially since I had no prior experience in leatherworking beyond a couple hours worth of youtube instruction videos on leatherworking.

I took the circuit board from a CDV -700 civil defense geiger counter and cut it down a bit, and rearranged some of the components so it would fit into a smaller case. Additions to the basic unit are a BNC cable connector, a piezo speaker on top, and a pushbutton operated dial light. I added a BNC connector to the standard "hot dog" probe, and made a pocket sized pancake G.M. probe for it. It all fits in my 2 large coat pockets. : )

Among drag racing’s personalities, few were as well-known as “Dandy Dick” Landy, and this Dodge was one that helped put the California racer on the map. Considered by some to be the first “funny car” due to its wheelbase changes, this 1964 lightweight 426 Hemi Dodge 330 was delivered to Landy in early June 1964 and then won A/MP class honors at the “Hot Rod” magazine race soon afterward, the first big win for the Hemi package. After racing at the NHRA Nationals, Landy converted the wheelbase and moved the front wheels up 6 inches and the rear axle up 8 inches. This conversion was shown as feature stories in several magazines. Clocked at a 147 MPH best that year, the car was eventually rediscovered by Hemi collector Pete Haldiman, who owned it from the late 1970s until it was added to Todd Werner’s collection in 2015. Haldiman did the restoration over a period of years, leaving the changes Landy had made intact. Under the aluminum hood is an A864 Race Hemi package with correct K-code iron heads, aluminum cross-ram, dual Holley 770 CFM carburetors and Doug’s Headers. It is backed by a pushbutton-operated A727 TorqueFlite transmission and 8.75 differential. The body features factory aluminum and steel components modified by Landy and painted in his trademark Mercedes silver, with his extra pair of tail lights modification left intact as well. Inside this car, the original Landy interior features bright red lightweight Super Stock Hemi upholstery, an 8,000 RPM tachometer, pushbutton shifter, heater/radio-delete plate and upgraded gauges. Extreme care was taken to hand-paint correctly positioned lettering to the body, which retains its outrageous overall appearance that made the car very popular during its heyday. While the 1965 models have often been credited with the first use of the “funny car” title, this 1964 Dodge was the forerunner to that ideal, and to this day it remains a singular icon of the exploding evolution of drag racing in the 1960s.
