For a while, I’ve wanted to test a funky armored car lens from Belarus for night rocketry. With a full hemisphere captured on frame, I would ideally have it point straight up with a ring of rocket pads circling it for a drag race to the center.

But first, I wanted to see if the AR coatings would quench the flares of a night launch. This starburst was good challenge.

This shot was taken for Get Pushed round 15, for which I was partnered with JTs Mama. She's a beautifully creative mom/photog who sees the world a lot like I do. :) She challenged me to get a picture that embodies childhood but does not include a face in it. Unfairly easy (I thought), but a lot of fun!
