Still wandering with my macro lens. Lacking the time and inspiration to get back in the studio or do more creation rather than observation. Feeling a bit of a slump in this 365 effort, but I’ll find some new inspiration. Meanwhile, I liked the color and texture of this backlit with the sun.
These things were ALL OVER the ship! Everywhere you went, every entrance to every dining room, bar, gym, everywhere. It's nice, because you just stick your hands under it, and it squirts out some antibacterial gel (like Purell) and, poof! Your hands are disinfected. That blue plastic ball comes apart and they set a plastic bag (like a breast implant for a woman with very buxom aspirations) into the machine, and you're good to go.
... On the way to the festival center (the old Wonders of Life building gets a workout once a year). I found two more Zyrtec-Ds in my laptop bag last night, so I took one before bed. I was just passing Mission: SPACE and tearing the packet open. You know how it has two plastic bubbles, but there's only one pill? Well, I threw the wrong half in the trash!!! =8^0.
A nice lady stood guard while I flagged down a security dude to authorize breaking and entering into a trash can ;). And the she gave me some Purell to sanitize the outside of the bubble before breaking it open.
I am relatively safe from sneezles for a while now.

May 1, 2010-- Purell has become my new best friend, what with the high contagious-ness of pink eye. But I seem to be kicking it's bitt quite nicely. :)
Perhaps the least sanitary contest in all the world -- redeem your chewed-up, slobbered upon cup rim for free coffee or doughnuts. Makes me want to rinse with Purell after every interaction with the people behind the counter at Timmy's... but doesn't stop me from my two- or three-cup-a-day habit.

and use hand sanitizer---of course not at the same time :)
on a serious note though...we do need to think about out neighbors there in Mexico and hope that people in our country are responsible enough that if they or their children are sick they get their medical care and then GO HOME!!!
Easiest part. I used the "wet" method with purell hand sanitizer, allowing me to slightly adjust the covering as necessary.
I adore this table cloth ... so fun and festive. The empty white plates eventually were filled with chx nuggets for the kids. Sandwiches for the adults and plenty of Purell for everyone!
A stop at the lovely new Ipsut Campground restrooms (complete with TP and Purell when we were there!!! Frontcountry luxury!)

March 18, 2020 - Praise the Lord! I am back at work today! Last night, I received a text from my Coworker informing us that Orange County was ordering the closure of nonessential businesses. We fell under that category, so we thought that we would shutter down through March 31, 2020. Then this morning, Orange County revised their order, as there was plenty of misunderstandings about the rules and policies. So thankfully I did get called back into work this morning! As you can see, we have Purell, and we are very conscious of the importance of staying clean and well for the sake of public health. For each day that I am alive, healthy, well, and able to work, I do count my blessings! But I remember to pray for those who are struggling in the midst of this Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, are on furlough, or lost their jobs.
B&W
“I’m learning a lot of different jobs to get more experience.” – Charles Williamson, Goodwill program participant working in the Contract Services Division
Charles Williamson began practicing his work skills in the Goodwill Contract Services Division in November 2009. “I’m learning to get along with my co-workers and how to clock in and clock out.” Tony Petak, who also works in the division, will tell you about a similar experience. “People are friendly here. I am trying new things and learning people skills.” Both Charles and Tony have ambitions to find competitive work in the community. Charles would like to be employed as a janitor, and Tony is working toward a position where he could work with animals.
In 2009, Goodwill program participants practiced their work skills on projects within the Contract Services Division, totaling over 27,800 hours. With a commitment to customer service, quality products, cost savings and timely production, the division maintains contracts with many locally based businesses like GOJO Industries, Inc.
GOJO is the leading global producer and marketer of skin health and hygiene solutions for away-from-home settings. Based in Akron, Ohio with facilities in North America, South America, Europe and Asia, the company’s portfolio includes hand cleaning, handwashing, hand sanitizing and skin care formulas under the GOJO®, PURELL® and PROVON® brand names. Since 2005, GOJO has been a loyal Goodwill customer, providing program participants with packaging and assembly projects to help them learn new work skills. Participants like Charles and Tony count out 24 retractables for each package and seal them for shipping. As a result, the GOJO products are finished on-time and on-budget, and the revenue earned is used to support Goodwill’s mission of helping individuals prepare for, find and retain employment.
“It’s not just Goodwill. It’s good business.” Goodwill Contracts Services provides a local outsourcing solution paired with a skilled and efficient workforce to complete projects in assembling, packaging, collation and mailing, die-cutting, de-manufacturing, sorting, inspection, re-work, and industrial sewing. The Goodwill Retail Stores and these business-to-business services are just a couple of the ways Goodwill funds its employment and training programs.
The nasty fist of the Man with the nastiest hands. #torontotransit #ttc #busphotography #strangehandsintransit #germs #venting #frustration #hashtagoverkill #whatthefuck #etiquette #issues #meltdown #mentalmeltdown #fack | Okay story time - so I'm using this image as a way to vent my frustration! I'm a hardcore bus kid and honestly it doesn't bother me, as a city dweller I'm used to it, however when I meet people on the bus, subway or streetcar like this; I want to fuck them up. I understand you have a cold. I understand that your sinuses are congested. I understand that even though you look, feel, sound and smell like the motherfucking bowel movements of a chocolate eating dog we must share transportation. What I don't understand is why you have to cough phlegm up and spit it on the bus. I don't understand whyyy you have to sneeze into your hands, all over my back and the person next to you and then proceed to touch everything. WHY? WHY must you do that? Where's the motherfucking Purell? The Kleenex? The consideration for everyone else on this bus except you? Where is it? I, just now, was thoroughly disgusted. /endrant
Butter on a summer day
When she's around
I was on the tracks
When the gates came down
When suddenly I recognized
Those bloodshot rearview mirror eyes as mine
And I heard that whistle call my name
And I almost drove away
But Megan I had a feeling that you would be on that train
So I just waited there for you
Caught a ride to another town
Where the air was clean
And the sun never goes down
Everyone was standing in a line
Between the landing and the stairs
I heard somebody call my name
I almost climbed the stairs
But Megan I had a feeling that someday you'd meet me there
So I just waited there for you
