My daughter's new puppy..a house warming gift from me and he is just precious! What is it about a puppy???!!!! The best part is that Atticus loves him!
Today saw us climbed le Col D'Iseran, the highest paved pass in France at 2,770m high (9,088 feet) The 25km descent in the valley was one of the nicest, and most beautiful I've experience so far. Sheer joy and I felt like I was in a dream. Totally awesome.

i spent some time with my hubby on the country side and it was FREEZING. my fingers began to burn in the wind. But, I captured a few of these beauties. Loved this one, although he was a bit camera shy. The rest ran toward me, can you believe it? ;)

Definitely putting me in the mood for our upcoming holiday. It was always hanging in the balance but a decision made at last re Jonathan’s breathing problems and his consultant gave the go ahead. Of course it means you get a break from me for a few weeks from Thursday - probably just as this hot humid weather breaks but hey ho, this is England and we are used to life giving rain. For those living in Countries where the forest fires are still raging I hope and pray you get the rain that you need…Sue.:)

The Siena Palio of August 16th, dedicated to the Madonna dell'Assunta, ran as scheduled that afternoon, and was won by the Valdimontone Contrada, which took and maintained first place for all three laps on the tuff track.
#1 La Mossa (the start): Valdimontone, Pantera, and Leocorno set off almost side by side, while Onda, chasing the race, was much further back;
#2 The jockey Giuseppe Zedde, known as Gingillo, on his horse Anda e Bola, representing the Valdimontone Contrada, took and maintained the lead of the pack;

With record snowfall up and down the east coast this weekend and many areas in the south experienceing a rare, "White Christmas," nothing says "Pure Joy" for a snowman than lots of snow.

You really don't need to comment... no, seriously! I know the quality of these shots is not very good (too much sun, bad photographer and equipment, etc), but I thought you might get a smile out of seeing the pure joy on her face. Oh, and her mommy and daddy's faces, too.
This was her first ride in a bucket swing - she loved it!
Her world is so full of "Firsts"!

We spent a lot of time by her favorite forest lake on her 14th
birthday yesterday. She loves standing like this.
Week 17 in 52 Weeks for Dogs. and Tasku's joy at being out in the forest for the first time this week is clear from her smile and exuberance. I have been suffering from an infected big toe which has been painful and it was too swollen to get a boot on. Fortunately, with antibiotics it is much improved.

Pure joy is receiving a gift from a wonderful Flickr Friend! That she sent me a Reindeer Pez Dispenser filled me with pure joy and delight! Obviously, she remembers my exitement in discovering a bathroom wall covered with Pez Dispensers at a Chicago restaurant (the Cozy Noodle)!!
