I went down to the beach last night, just to get some fresh air. there was a stiff breeze and big waves smashing against the rocks. it didn't look hopeful , especially as the tide was in, but a careful traverse below the cliffs on wet boulders , and some dashing clouds meant a few minutes of pure pleasure. I only found out later that one of my favourite singers Daniel Johnston had sadly died. Most of his songs were tragic and full of the most beautiful simplicity. True love will find you in the end is one of my favourites.

Out roaming the open countryside after the fog and hoarfrost. I find the beautiful of this in it's simplicity. Another example how "Mother Nature" can be so artistic in her work.

If it's a row of small trees and shrubs, or a forest, the color, contrast and beauty is always the main theme.

Stopped in TC the other day when we were down there and bought a big rib eye steak at The Butcher's Block grand opening. A friend the day before dropped off a bag of morel mushrooms (she knew Dave and I weren't out walking in the woods this spring). This was just before I threw on the grill. Best steak we have had in years and the mushrooms made it all the better. Next year will be out for them again.

I didn't make photos (and photo edit) for more than four months. Really.

I miss my dolls so much T^T

But recently I tried to do something with this old picture of Luan and I'm pretty happy ♥

I can't wait to practice more photography when I'll be back home !

This mature Bald Eagle is concentrating on landing atop the stump in the foreground in the final seconds of flight and while it's snowing. Plus the stump top is snowy and probably icy to boot, so precautions are necessary for the eagle to prevent a face plant in the snow if unsuccessful. Amazing to watch these birds live their lives.

Update: Nice to see this was selected as a photo for a 2024 Alaska Wildlife and Wilderness calendar produced by Greatland Graphics.
