The story says that one night a great Icelandic poet named Kolbeinn Jöklaskáld sat on the edge of the cliff and competed against the devil. The firs part of the night devil came up whit the first part of the poet and Kolbeinn had to end it, second part of the night Kolbeinn started and the devil had to end the poet and the devil lost and he had to throw him self to the bottom of the sea.

It is becoming a tradition for me to have a flower at weekend or something close. Here it is for this week;-) Could be a bit too pinkish for some... But hey!

Enjoy your free time!!

the love we get from our pets is the most pure love we will get in life

This church is located just a few miles down the road from the barn in my previous posting.

This is an ice macro in case you live in one of those climates that doesn't get to see this stuff first hand. I love how sparkley it gets in the sun.

Take me somewhere I can breathe

I've got so much to see

This is where I want to be

In a place I can call mine

Lilium is a genus of herbaceous flowering plants growing from bulbs, all with large and often prominent flowers. They are the true lilies. Lilies are a group of flowering plants which are important in culture and literature in much of the world. Most species are native to the Northern Hemisphere and their range is temperate climates and extends into the subtropics. Many other plants have "lily" in their common names, but do not belong to the same genus and are therefore not true lilies. True lilies are known to be highly toxic to cats.

Probally one of my favorite shots from this shoot.

His facial expression is a fact. The face is grotesquely disfigured. What does it mean? Why is it here, fixed to a gatepost of the Stables at Waddesdon Manor (Buckinghamshire)? All I can say is that Manor and Stables go back to the 1870s/80s and that this marble sculpture is of Italian origin, probably 18th century (and it has not yet been treated with fungicide as most of the other statues have been). The architecture here is generally playful, life-affirming perhaps - and now this! Is it a reminder of our fear, when examining the ground we think we are standing on, that there might be none?
