This seal pup had a keen interest in me as I did to her, after watching over her for a week near low tide, I guess she became aware of me and it did not seem to bother her having me near by, although I did keep my distance using my zoom lens.
A Donna Nook seal pup having a suck of its flipper....they have huge claws for such young pups too....
That tongue! No clue what Tracey was saying to him, but he is clearly into it. Last shot I kept of this cutie.

Two pups from different mothers, (Cows only have one pup each year whilst fertile). Over a week old at this stage and quickly fattening up on mother's fat rich milk and now getting more adventurous.
Grey seal pups weigh about 14 kg at birth and have soft white fur. They remain on land where they suck from their mother for 18-21 days. A female’s milk contains up to 60% fat, so pups grow very quickly, gaining about 2 kg in weight each day. This weight gain consists mainly of a layer of blubber below their skin, which is vital insulation when they go to sea.
Pups stay on land until they have lost their white coats and trebled their body weight.
Grey seal pups are very vocal. Their cries sometimes sound like a human baby crying. This is normal behavior that helps mothers find their pups on crowded beaches . The cows do not feed while nursing pups.

Sorry for those who commented on the original image - I made the image public before I realized I needed to make the 4 images square!
Just having some fun with Cola and MS Photodraw! Lost some of the clarity but I'll have to work on that!
I changed the title thanks to getthebubbles!
I met this little pup while I was at a rose garden the other day.
Look at the smile that appeared just as I asked if I could take a photo.
This shot is a tribute to the Pup who we lost unexpectedly about 9 months ago. He had gotten into something that was toxic that took him quickly.
This was one of his favourite areas to explore down here in the desert. So I think it's a fitting shot for him.
This is the first landscape shot I have taken since then. Definitely lost all urge to grab the camera.
This shot was taken down in the Palm Springs Area of California.
We do have a new pup, but he's still got some learning to do. But I'm sure he'll do just fine as time moves on

KXHR train 102 crosses the Holston River just outside of Asbury TN, on a cloudy spring day. Once they reach Asbury, the train will shove back into the industrial park.
Having had the extreme privilege to watch African Wild Dogs and their most amazing interactions with each other for four days, I am still in shock to think that this was the first time in so many years that I have seen den-based Wild Dog pups. I truly am thankful for this.
In four days, I was able to to capture only a few keepers of the pups, as they just know how to always be under bushes and grass, and never be in the open. This one venturing up on a fallen tree was an absolute highlight, and at last, an image where it was in the open!
